Vol 2 Chapter 99: Eve Star (5)

Ethan sat in front of the window of the reading room on the second floor of the castle, looking out the mountains in the distance through the clear glass. Strips of lavender smoke drifted across the blue mountainside, and occasionally groups of certain flying lizard-like creatures appeared in groups, reflecting cyan flashes in the air.
His mood was a little heavy, and he couldn't put his mind on the priceless paper book in front of him. In the morning, he asked the butler's question and the other party did not answer it, because a visitor's bell rang at the front entrance, and the butler hurried to answer the door. However, the moment he asked the question, the unexpected look on the butler's face still made him guess at all odds.
Ethan did not believe in ghosts before. But after experiencing so many weird and terrifying events, he began to feel that everything in this universe is possible. Even ghosts can be explained by certain scientific theories, such as brain wave remnants and so on. And what Tanithel told him last night as a joke was not without credibility.
There must be something weird in that room.
The question is why did Tanithel put him in that room?
Ethan had always known that Tanithel approached him for a certain purpose. Tanithel also admitted this frankly, saying that they were "a pure and mutually exploiting relationship", but he just refused to tell him what the purpose was. And he himself felt that he had nothing to lose, so he didn't care much.
But now, he has something to fear to lose.
He was afraid of losing Tanithel.
He began to worry about gains and losses, and began to wonder whether Tanithel was more sincere about him in addition to his use value?
But if this goal is finally revealed, his dreams may be broken. Perhaps you will know that the priests have always been good and protective to him, really only for the ultimate goal, rather than caring for him a little bit.
Ethan hates being so unstable. It was not decided long ago. He didn't care about the priest's purpose, but just wanted the warmth of the gloomy life that made him happy. Why are you becoming greedy again now?
"You are here." Samuel's voice suddenly sounded from the other side of the bookshelf, "I have been looking for you for a long time."
Ethan closed the book in front of him, stood up and put it back on the shelf, "What's the matter?"
Samuel leaned on the bookshelf, holding a glass of amber liquid in his hand, and raised it at Ethan, "No, Tanithel asked me to supervise you to drink medicine every day."
The moment Ethan took the cup, his nose twitched slightly, sniffed a few times in the air, his expression changed slightly, "Samuel, did you ask Tanithel for some inhibitor?"
Samuel seemed to understand what Ethan meant, and quickly took a step back to cover the position of the Omega glands on his neck, but looked unusually calm, "No."
"No?!" Ethan stared at him for a while, then calmed down and comforted, "It doesn't matter, you stay in the house obediently, lock the door, you can only open the door when you hear me?"
He checked the clips on his ears while talking, and then hurried toward the door of the reading room. But the arm was pulled by Samuel, "Hey, where are you going?"
"Go to the city, there must be pharmacies selling inhibitors." Ethan patted the back of Samuel's hand with his other hand, and comforted, "Don't worry, I'll be back soon."
"Don't make trouble. If you are unfamiliar with this place, what if you are recognized?"
"But it's too easy to be spotted here."
Samuel sighed, "Ethan, I don't have to pretend anymore."
Ethan was taken aback, only to remember that they were no longer in the Forbidden City or even in the Earth Alliance.
"Tanisel said, I can spend my estrus here. And I really should stop taking the medicine." Samus lightly opened Ethan's arm and patted his shoulder. "This is not what you said. Yes, if the medicine is used for a long time, you will get cancer or something."
Ethan still feels that his heart is hanging. This castle has a weird and gloomy atmosphere. Is it really a suitable place for a nest?
"Then... have you decided on a place to make the nest? And I remember that some of the servants in this castle are Alpha..." Ethan lowered his head, rubbing his chin with his fingers and thinking, "I am I can keep guarding you, but if someone wants to break through, we'd better have a self-defense weapon at hand. I can go to the butler..."
"Ethan." Samuel interrupted him suddenly and held down his shoulders. With the other hand, he gently lifted his chin and let Ethan look into his eyes, "Don’t worry about me. Estrus. Now the most important thing is you..."
Ethan frowned, not quite what he meant.
"I have lost too much, you may be the last thing I have left..." Samuel said, reaching out his hand as if he wanted to touch Ethan's cheek.
But Ethan ducked back slightly, and gently blocked his hand like a joke, "Don't be so numb, not like you at all."
Ethan spent the entire afternoon helping Samus find a suitable nesting site in the opponent's room. Omegas would prefer narrow and closed places, and Samuel's choice naturally became that gorgeous tall wardrobe. Ethan took some of the bedding from his house, and asked Sam to pick some favorites and stuff them into the cabinet. Then he went to the kitchen and brought a few large cans of water and food that didn't need to be in the refrigerator to store in the room.
He knew that Omega would be very insecure during heat, so despite Samuel's objection, he went to the butler and asked for a crutch as a self-defense weapon.
At night, Samuel had a stronger smell, but he obviously hadn't fully entered the estrus stage. The two lay side by side on the large four-poster bed, looking at the luminous embroidery on the overhead tent.
"Do you believe in ghosts?" Ethan said suddenly.
Samuel glanced at him. "Do you believe it?"
"I'm in this castle...sometimes I feel that way." Ethan turned his face to look at Samuel. "Sometimes I stay in the house by myself and I feel that there is another person. I can even Hear the sound of his breathing..."
"'he'?"
"Yeah..." Ethan said hesitantly, "At first I thought it might be that I was nervous, or there was something wrong with the room. But then when I was reading in the library alone, I was stared at. a feeling of."
"Did you talk to Tanithel?"
"That said, he said I was nervous. Let me drink that tranquilizer."
"But you don't think so?"
Ethan shook his head, "I think Tanisel's joke may be true. This castle may have a soul."
Samuel sneered, as if he had heard a big joke, "Don't talk, do you think the stones will become fine here?"
Ethan suddenly placed his index finger to his lips and hissed softly. The two fell into a moment of silence, only to hear the clock ticking, ticking, and ticking.
Samuel was inexplicable, "What for?"
"listen."
"Listen to what?"
Ethan pointed to his ear, and then pressed his ear to the mattress. Samuel had to follow his example and get down a bit.
"Empty, empty, empty, empty, empty, empty..."
Only an irregular sound of knocking on the wooden board came from under the bed. It was as if someone was lying on his back under the bed, with a hand outstretched, and knocking on their wooden bedboard.
Samuel raised his head suddenly, seeming not sure what he heard, and posted it back and listened again.
"Have you heard?" Ethan asked in a low voice.
Samus's mouth was hard. "Maybe the sound of aging pipes is coming over."
"But you can feel it carefully, is our bed trembling slightly?" Ethan asked quietly.
"Hey! Don't scare me!" Samus sat up without believing in evil, "Damn, you'll know under the bed." He lifted the quilt and dropped his head under the bed...
There seemed to be nothing under the dark bed.
Ethan returned Samuraa, who was still lying on the bed and watching non-stop, "Just as I'm talking nonsense, you have a good rest. I think you might get into the closet before dawn."
Facts proved that Ethan's estimate was correct. Two hours later, the Omega hormone emitted by Samuel had filled the room. He ran into the closet and shrank himself into a ball.
Samus persuaded Ethan to leave when he was still conscious, saying that he could be alone. But Ethan insisted on staying.
He couldn't imagine Omega going through heat without being cared for.
Ethan set an alarm for himself, fed Samus with water every two hours, and ate three meals a day. Samus's smell was particularly strong this time, and he kept making some blushing and heart-pounding moans, which made Ethan, the Beta, feel itchy. He was careful to guard against the Alpha Eve male servants who tried to approach Samuel's room, sitting at the door with the crutch in his hand every day, and even forgot to take the medicine that Tanithel had ordered.
In the evening of the second day, Tanisel returned. Ethan heard a commotion outside, but he dared not leave Samuel's room for half a step.
After a while, Tanithel's voice came from outside the door, "Ethan, open the door."
"...No..." Ethan said, restraining his urge to open the door to see the priest.
"I won't do anything to Samus." Tanithel reluctantly tried to persuade him outside the door, "I didn't do anything last time?"
"I drove you out last time!" Ethan was resolute, "Hurry up...cough cough cough..." There was no time to finish the words in the future, and a violent and uncontrollable cough made him no time to breathe, and he couldn't stop. Come down. There was a pain in his chest, and his heartbeat was ridiculously fast, as if he was about to jump out of his throat.
He finally took a breath, felt that some saliva was coughed out of the corner of his lips, and rubbed it with his hand, but saw a large black.
It was blood, his blood that was no longer red.
Ethan was stunned. Only then did he discover that the skin of his hands was blue, and his nails had turned black unknowingly, revealing an evil breath of death.
At this moment, there was a loud noise from the door, and it turned out that someone was kicking the door. Ethan hesitated to look back at the flush-faced Samuel in the cabinet with a slightly different fascination from usual. He tightened his crutch and retreated to the cabinet door.
With a bang, the door was kicked abruptly, and Tanithel rushed in, but apparently because of the strong smell of Omega, he quickly stepped back for a walk, and hurriedly covered his mouth and nose with his sleeve. He turned around and shouted at all Alpha attendants, "Everyone leave this corridor!"
The butler himself is a Beta, so he is not affected by the smell of Omega. He walked in and grabbed the crutch in Ethan's hand, and commanded in a majestic voice, "I will guard him, you and the young master leave here. You need to be treated immediately ."
Ethan had no idea what he looked like at the moment. He described as haggard, pale, with two heavy dark circles under his eyes, and his lips had begun to turn black, especially the black blood stains on his chin that made him look haggard and weird.
Ethan turned around, staggered a few steps toward the door of the room, and was immediately pulled out by Tanithel who was guarding the door. He pressed Ethan against the wall, took out an injection filled with light blue liquid from his pocket, and slammed it against the back of Ethan's neck.
Ethan let out a painful hiss, not like a human hiss.
