For an ordinary person, killing someone was extremely difficult. This was why there existed people who argued with their neighbor all their life and cursed at then hoping they’d die an early death, yet the neighbor continued to live well into their eighties, sometimes even outliving the person cursing at them.
For a bandit, however, such a thing was not difficult. When a bandit wanted someone dead, all they had to do was stab a blade into that person’s heart, or even just slit their neck and the person would die. Sometimes whether someone died or not wasn’t a matter of difficult or easy, but how much one actually dared to bare a knife.
Fang Xing was without a doubt the kind of person who dared. The Huangfu clan had caused Tie Rukuang’s death, thus he hated the Huangfu clan. Since he hated the Huangfu clan, he wanted their young master dead. For their young master to die, it was only natural he’d come and give him a taste of his blade.
The Huangfu clan’s young master wasn’t any ordinary person, however, and sticking a blade in him wasn’t something so simple. He was the young master of the Huangfu clan, the accepted number one elite of all Jambu, and someone who’d already reached late Foundation Stage at only thirty-five years old. He knew countless spells and techniques, was the owner of countless treasures and weapons, and there were countless powerful masters protecting him by his side. It would not have been a simple task for anyone to kill him, and it could even be said perhaps not a single person within all of Jambu would have dared to even consider it.
But Fang Xing was
bold enough to do so, and he wanted to kill.
First, he used the Mask of Wanluo—which could now help him hide his cultivation level on top of allowing him to change his appearance to someone else’s—to sneak into the group of maids for a period of time. From there, he used the unnamed skill and fused it with his cultivation for that all-important attack.
This was a very dangerous method, albeit an extremely effective one. Pouring all of his cultivation power into that single attack was the same as blocking off any alternate options. If that attack had failed, he would have been as good as dead, yet the strike he performed had ended up more powerful than words could describe, to the point even Fang Xing himself wasn’t certain he’d be able to survive it unharmed if it had been used against him. Fang Xing’s boldness had allowed him to merge all of these factors into action, and this single strike bore extremely effective results: the young master’s severed neck.
This young master of the Huangfu clan was truly pitiable. In truth, if he’d been prepared, he would not have been any weaker than Fang Xing. Factoring in the young master’s late-Foundation Stage power, although Fang Xing might be able to tie in purity of Qi thanks to his mid-quality purple foundation, there wasn’t any comparison to be made when it came to the usage or comprehension of various spells and techniques. When considering the number and quality of weapons and tools, the comparison was even more lopsided….
But such things were useless now—Fang Xing hadn’t given him the chance to show off any of these things. Fang Xing was clearly a cultivator, but he’d used a method that only those from the ordinary realm would use: close-range physical assassination.
A severed neck, a stolen head.
The attack had happened so suddenly and without warning that no one even had time to react. Watching the still-standing headless body, many believed they were dreaming. It was only three breaths later that the red-armored guard directly below the platform let out a heart-wrenching shout,
Young Master!

Such Impudence…. Such impudence…. Such impudence
….

It was here that Huangfu Qielan came to his senses, and he began chasing with maddened desperation towards where Fang Xing had fled. He was still so completely in shock by what had transpired that all he could do was repeat that single phrase.
At the same time Huangfu Qielian flew out, a countless number of shadows fluttered out from the temporary palace like a collection of fireworks—the Golden Cores from the Huangfu clan and Eight Bewitched Followers who’d been there at the time. There were over ten of them, and they all growled while chasing towards Fang Xing with a single thought in their minds: they had
to catch him.
Disastrous!
Unbelievable!
The Huangfu clan’s young master had actually been assassinated right after accomplishing so much and stepping outside the Mysterious Domain. People didn’t even dare to imagine how serious this was—all they could feel was the chill of terror.
The title
young master
hadn’t been given for no reason, and the fact he was referenced as such could only mean all the blood and sweat of the clan, its elders, and its seniors had been funneled into him. The resources and time spent on him in the past thirty years had been an astronomical amount. He represented the hopes and name of the entire Huangfu clan; to an extent, he represented the Huangfu clan’s future.
Yet such an important person, during such an important moment, was murdered in public. If the Budding Soul Stage grand elder of the clan knew about this, it was unimaginable what would happen….
All these Golden Cores were left with a single goal: they had to capture that little brat and immediately kill him!
Boom boom boom
!
None of the Golden Core cultivators held anything back. They continuously teleported vast distances while clawing towards Fang Xing like a collection of roaring dragons. They couldn’t even accept the possibility
Fang Xing might escape—if he was not killed, this hatred couldn’t be resolved.
It was at this moment, however, that a large flag in the air suddenly tore itself into pieces, causing a large amount of black smoke to scatter about in the Golden Cores’ path. It was the Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits, and in order to help Fang Xing escape, it had directly blown itself up, releasing an enormous amount of blood essence and hundreds of beast spirits that attacked with their final blows….
The scene was like ink pouring out onto a clean paper. Half the sky was covered in darkness, and within that darkness was Fang Xing, as though he wished to devour the sky in its entirety. The Golden Cores of the Huangfu clan were in the sunlight, and they dashed towards the darkness with an uncontrollable amount of rage, as though they wished to tear that section of the sky apart.
Golden Cores were only able to teleport where things were stable and ordered, and the more unstable and chaotic an area was, the more force they’d have to exert and the more likely there would be harmful backlash. The Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits had self-destructed to disturb the rules of the heavens and earth, disrupting the Golden Cores’ teleportation so Fang Xing could have more time to escape!
However, the explosive power of the Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits was only enough to halt the Huangfu cultivators for less than six breaths. Huangfu Qielan roared in anger as a colored glass lantern flew out from his sleeve. It was so bright it lit up his entire portion of the sky, and wherever it shined upon, the dark fog—as well as the beast spirits who were trying to stop the enraged Golden Cores—were all torn away. Within a mere six breaths, the inked half of the sky had been wiped clean.

Kill kill kill kill kill
!
Huangfu Qielan shouted in near hysteria towards where Fang Xing had fled.
That brat must
be killed!

Despite the Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits’ self-destruction, Fang Xing had only managed to get a few dozen miles more distance and his tiny silhouette was still visible from time to time.

That little brat is extremely fast. Activate your flying tools; he cannot escape, no matter what!

The Huangfu clan cultivators shouted while activating their flying tools and began chasing after Fang Xing and the golden crow while leaving behind streamers of light.

Fang Xing sat on the back of the golden crow while holding the head of the Huangfu clan’s young master in his hands.
Old Peng, it is my fault you lost your place. I will help you find a suitable body,
he coldly told the Peng King inside his Sea of Consciousness.
The Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits had originally been the Peng King’s suggestion and was crafted with the beast spirits within the Prison Abyss. The purpose the Peng King explained at the time was not only to bring a great improvement to Fang Xing’s overall battle prowess, but to also make it easier for Fang Xing to help him find a new body to take over. Yet who would have anticipated that before Fang Xing had even freed him, the Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits would be destroyed and all that purpose and effort was lost….
The Peng King, however, seemed to be in a rather good mood after hearing Fang Xing’s words.
Hehe, if you wanted me to self-destruct the Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits for someone else, I perhaps might not have agreed, but for the sake of killing the young master of that Huangfu clan… I would do it a thousand times over….
Understanding the beast tribes had a deep enmity with the Huangfu clan, Fang Xing did not speak any further.
Suddenly, a weak spirit sense was released from the head of the Huangfu clan’s young master.
Why… kill me…?

Nn?
Fang Xing looked down and saw that even though the head had been severed, the young master’s vitality still hadn’t been completely depleted—his eyes were still blinking and the lotus flower mark between his brows flashed as well. From the looks of it, it seemed as though that lotus flower mark was protecting his spirit sense, allowing it to remain for a much longer period of time. If someone were to place his head back onto his body right now, it might even be possible he could still live, but he was currently nothing more than a head that couldn’t even speak; all he could do was pass messages to Fang Xing using a very weak spirit sense.
Fang Xing raised the head up, looked directly into his eyes, and snickered.
Why did I kill you? Because I’m Fang Xing and you’re the young master of the Huangfu clan. Is that not enough?
There even seemed to be some kind of flames flickering in the depths of Fang Xing’s gaze.
The young master blinked and sent over a message with great difficulty.
The enmity between us… is not enough to commit murder…. Let me go back, and all the previous enmity… will be cleared….

Fang Xing began to laugh. Suddenly, he raised his hand and slapped the young master a dozen times before clenching his teeth.
Not enough to commit murder? Do you know Old Tie has already died? If it had been before, of course it wasn’t enough to commit murder. I was even fcking hiding from all of you, yet you still kept pursuing me? If you’d only pursued me, that would have been fine, but why the hell did you have to involve Old Tie?

The young master’s cheeks had been cut by Fang Xing’s slaps, and he quickly blinked while sending over another message.
If you kill me… there’s no way you will ever be able to escape…. If you don’t kill me… the favor you receive from the Huangfu clan would be beyond imagination….
While he spoke, a countless number of golden lights continued to streak towards them, drawing steadily closer.
The Golden Cores of the Huangfu clan were doing everything they could to catch Fang Xing, and not even the golden crow’s speed could get rid of them completely—it seemed as though getting caught was simply a matter of time. On the other hand, Fang Xing was heavily wounded, the Flag of Ten Thousand Spirits had been destroyed, and there seemed to be no chance for him to escape whatsoever. Although the young master of the Huangfu clan was nothing more than a head right now, his outlook and words were still extremely accurate.

Hahahaha….
Fang Xing began to laugh when he heard this, and the laughing was so pronounced it reopened the wounds on his chest and left him in a fit of coughing.
You’re still trying to threaten me even now?
He sent a sharp glare at the young master’s eyes.
You really think I’d be finished after killing just you?
