– Live … or Die!
Brother of the demon race, you are going to use your full strength?
Zhong Yue’s mortal body morphed again as he said with a smile on his face,
Such a coincidence, I was going to use my full power as well.
He turned into the Fuxi True Form, the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】was fully cast and he clenched the golden sword in his hand.
With a swing of his tail, Zhong Yue shot out like a nocked arrow let loose.
Ding
The Golden Peng Sword struck with the Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banners, and the attacks were so quick that the sounds of weapons clashing formed a fast-paced cacophonous symphony that reverberated through the sky.
Yan Zhen’s hundred arms danced as the Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banners Array changed continuously as a myriad of giant beasts flew out of the array formation and attacked Zhong Yue.
Zhong Yue just kept his other hand raised and launched the same old attack at them.
This time, it was a giant beast with bone spikes all over its body that flew out of the banner array. Seeing another giant beast charging at him, Zhong Yue raised his hand again and shouted,
【Celestial Demon Yi】!
The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】then started revolving, and as the giant beast crashed into it, Zhong Yue stifled a deep groan. The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】was slowed down as the beast pushed forward into it.
Suddenly, the bone spikes on the giant beast pierced into Zhong Yue’s palm, causing the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】to show signs of stagnation!
The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】was sluggishly revolving in an effort to disintegrate the giant beast, but as it was a Xuan Yin beast soul formed by the Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banners, it wasn’t that easy to kill.
Although Yan Zhen was still far from fully wielding all of the banners’ power, he was more than capable of unleashing the full force of one of them. Releasing the beast soul sealed in one of the banners was not too hard of a thing for him to do.
The two youths’ energies surged as they collided with one another while Zhong Yue’s other hand relentlessly slashed the banner array formation.
The beast soul came from the banners, and if he broke banner array formation, the beast souls would dissipate as well. Zhong Yue would then have the upper hand at that point!
Blood streamed out from his palm, and the bone spurs penetrated deeper into his palm. Some of it even reappeared out the back of his hand. The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】continued to slowly turn as it worked to disintegrate the beat soul’s power.
Meanwhile, Zhong Yue and Yan Zhen were still locked in battle. Their fight brought them into the ruined celestial temple, and the Xuan Yin Qi from the other banners had frozen the whole celestial temple.
Yan Zhen could feel the beast soul’s power faltering in the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】. It would not be able to last for long before Zhong Yue got it out of the way. By then, Zhong Yue would have the upper hand, and so Yan Zhen began to exert every ounce of his power into the beast souls!
Suddenly, voices of worship came from the celestial temple. It felt like millions of people were chanting in unison as their voices inundated every corner of the celestial temple.
The earth then quaked, and intricate totem patterns crawled out from the floor, interweaving and locking together into chains.
Chi
Zhong Yue’s Golden Peng Sword accidentally slipped past the side of the totem pattern chains. A powerful force instantly struck his arm, causing him to lose grip on the golden sword as it flew out while the skin on his arm ruptured.
Zhong Yue’s heart skipped a beat while Yan Zhen was overjoyed. Suddenly, Yan Zhen’s Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banners bumped into the totem pattern chains as well. Immediately, the banners slipped out of his hands and his arms fissured as well.
Right at the moment, the Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banner Array was destroyed, and the beast soul let out a cry in sorrow as Zhong Yue’s【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】fully disintegrated it in just seconds!
Zhong Yue was unarmed, but Yan Zhen still had a few banners with him. He waved the banners and pierced them toward Zhong Yue.
Worshipping of the gods!
Around the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】, figures of thousands of gods and thousands of demon gods appeared. They bowed at Zhong Yue who was in the middle and worshipped him. Zhong Yue’s aura burst out, and he also bowed at Yan Zhen.
The two of them stifled a groan in pain and were sent flying back, bumping into the totem pattern chains.
Immediately, the sound of bones cracking could be heard from the two youths. Their bodies had evidently suffered fairly severe damage before they were sprung out into the air again.
The two youths were then shot out by the totem pattern chains and crossed shoulders with one another. Yan Zhen flitted his hands and pierced the Xuan Yin Banners he had into Zhong Yue’s chest. Zhong Yue opened his eyes wide, and the Yin and Yang Qi launched out and pierced Yan Zhen’s eyes, depriving the young demon’s ability to see.
Chi
The divine third eye also opened, and a flash of godly ray sliced the top of his skull away, nearly killing Yan Zhen.
Yan Zhen then landed on the ground. The top of Yan Zhen’s skull was sliced open, and the gray matter that was faintly beating was visible from his exposed skull. His eyes were also vaporized into ashes. But the young demon expert was ruthless as well, despite his injuries, he continued persevered as he dispersed his hundred-armed demon god form and cast out his Yuan Shen.
His Yuan Shen was also in the hundred-armed demon god form. Although Zhong Yue had destroyed his eyes and turned him into a blind man, his Yuan Shen’s eyes were still perfectly fine, allowing him to still be able to see.
Zhong Yue also landed on the ground at the same time. The banners had pierced into his chest, and the Xuan Yin Qi in them was freezing him from the inside, gradually turning him into an ice statue from the inside out.
There were nearly 30 Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banners pierced into his chest, and so the amount of Xuan Yin Qi that was attacking him was immense. Even though only the entirety of the hundred banners was what was considered the divine demon weapon, every banner was still as strong as one of Swords Gate’s Ten Malefic Weapons.
With over 20 Xuan Yin Banners, the consolidated power was certainly not something to scoff at. If properly wielded, these over 20 banners could easily freeze an Imminent Deity magnate to death!
Strong indeed…,
Yan Zhen was coughing blood out. Two streams of blood flowed down his cheek like tears from his empty eye sockets that were ‘looking’ at Zhong Yue. The smile he had on his face was bitter and somewhat twisted, but he finally said,
I’ve won, but it was at too high of a price. I admit that you are really good, but this is your end!
He stood up and staggered as he spoke. He picked up a Xuan Yin Banner on the floor as he headed toward Zhong Yue. He smiled as he said,
This is the real world, the real battle, the real fight. There is no such thing as pride and honor, only the victor, and the loser! I’ve won, and you’ve lost.
He walked to the front of Zhong Yue, raised his hand and sent the banner down into Zhong Yue’s body that was frozen in the ice. Yan Zhen was still smiling,
I’ve paid two eyes to win this battle, but they weren’t sacrificed for nothing. I shall claim your marvelous eyes for my own…
The Xuan Yin Banner’s sharp tip pierced through the ice like a knife cutting through a piece of tofu. Just as the banner tip was already less than half a foot away from Zhong Yue’s head, the ice melted into a pool of water. Zhong Yue then stopped the banner with his hand while his other hand cast the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】at Yan Zhen’s chest!
Behind Zhong Yue’s head, the light wheels revolved rapidly, and the Luminant Sun Gold flew out from the Yuan Shen secret realms. It was this Luminant Sun Gold that melted the Xuan Yi Qi and freed him from the ice!
You are right, there are only two outcomes, to live… or to die!
Zhong Yue answered deeply.
Yan Zhen’s body contorted as he was sucked into the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】. The young demon expert was decisive as well, knowing that he couldn’t escape the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】. He madly struck a hundred arms at Zhong Yue!

Zhong Yue’s injuries were even more severe. There wasn’t a single part of his mortal body that was unscathed. But the pain and wounds couldn’t sway his indomitable will in the slightest. He endured it all and continued casting the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】until Yan Zhen was thoroughly sucked into and killed by the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】!
Waves of blood mist then gushed out from the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】when Yan Zhen’s mortal body was crushed. The hundred-armed demon god Yuan Shen behind him was sucked into the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】as well, decomposing into pure demonic Qi.
Zhong Yue’s mortal body and Yuan Shen then shuddered, and a wave of energy surged into his body. The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】refined Yan Zhen’s mortal body and Yuan Shen, even the cultivation base was being broken down and fed to Zhong Yue!
The【Heavenly Saint Godly Radiating Art】’s effect… to claim the powers of others as your own.
Zhong Yue quickly suppressed his injuries, and he chanted lowly and clenched his hand into a fist. The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】then shrunk down, and Yan Zhen’s energy was then condensed into a pitch-black medicinal pellet.
Demon Saint’s【Heavenly Saint Godly Radiating Art】can refine the cultivation base of others for the cultivator’s own use. But this isn’t the cultivation that one truly cultivated on their own. There must surely be some flaws inherent to this method.
Zhong Yue was coughing blood, he opened his hand, and five bracelet-sized light wheels appeared in his palm. These were Yan Zhen’s Yuan Shen secret realm that he refined and condensed into five light wheel bracelets before they completely collapsed.
He then sat down sluggishly like an old man, clenched his hands on the Xuan Yin Banners and carefully pulled them out from his chest one by one.
Yan Zhen had a huge advantage over Zhong Yue in that he possessed the Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banners. It was such a heaven-defying weapon that with just a quarter the set was capable of taking away Zhong Yue’s life.
If it weren’t for the Luminant Sun Gold, Zhong Yue would have been the one killed instead.
The so-called young gods of the Kun Lun and A’thoer, are they all this strong? If they are, then that is truly terrifying.
Zhong Yue then thought, I have to cultivate my Inner Core and Heavenly Dharma to the extremity and exceed the common level of the other cultivators, or otherwise, I might not even be able to survive the next fight like this!
His encounter with Yan Zhen gave him a strong sense of danger. If the young gods were all at least this strong. Then there was a high chance he would be killed in the Returning Ruins if he ever had let his mind wander for even a single moment.
The worshipping chants continued to grow louder in the celestial temple, and the godly totem pattern chains multiplied as they slowly weaved a net above on the ceiling and more chain patterns still seeped out from the floor.
Zhong Yue frowned, he forced the broken bones out from his body as he tended to his injuries.
This doesn’t look alright. Where did these totem patterns come from? And the chants.…
Zhong Yue thought in his heart while calling the Golden Peng Sword back into his hands. The bones reconnected in his body, and new muscles fibers weaved into the wounds of his body to repair it. He struggled up from the ground and then walked around the temple to collect the rest of the Xuan Yin Banners. Right when Zhong Yue finished collecting all 108 of them, the earth quaked again, and rifts emerged on the floor of the celestial temple.
Zhong Yue’s heart skipped a beat, and he dodged the totem pattern chains and walked out of the celestial temple while thinking to himself, These chants are something only the godly spirits should have the privilege of receiving! Is there a god’s spirit still residing in this celestial temple?
There was an evil existence, one that destroyed the Six Paths of Reincarnation and shattered the Kun Lun imperial court. This unknown evil placed a curse on all gods that were here before. If there was a godly spirit that was still living despite what had happened all those years ago, then this godly spirit must be incredibly strong!
Furthermore, the Six Paths World was now in a mess, ruins were everywhere, and even the Returning Ruins was affected by the residual energy of the Six Paths of Reincarnation. Those that were affected turned crazy and mad. Zhong Yue was very sure of himself that whoever this spirit was, if it were an amiable spirit in the past, then it most likely wouldn’t be now.
Outside the celestial temple, Qiu Jin’er flew over toward him. She also had many wounds from her hard-fought battle with the demon slave. However, in comparison to Zhong Yue, her injuries seemed minor.
Run!
Zhong Yue grabbed her hand and rushed out like lightning.
Krong
The earth quaked, and the celestial temple crumbled away. An appalling aura then rose up from the center of the ruins, and Zhong Yue’s vision then blacked out.
Qiu Jin’er could be heard exclaiming,
Senior martial brother, I can’t see anymore…
The godly aura has blocked our senses. We are just blocked from seeing the surroundings. We’re not permanently blinded.
Zhong Yue inhaled a deep breath of air, and he opened the divine third eye to still be greeted with pure darkness. His heart sank; this god’s aura was beyond his imagination. His mortal body, Yuan Shen, and divine third eye were robbed of their vision, sealed by the godly aura. Even his psyche ocean was swallowed by the darkness!
Hefty footsteps could be heard from behind, and the wind that blew over their backs felt like hurricanes. It was the breath of a god!
Sui Sovereign and the imperial court!
Zhong Yue immediately visualized the Sui Sovereign and the Fire Order Palace. Right away, the darkness in his psyche ocean faded away, and his visions slowly returned. He then quickly pulled Qiu Jin’er hand and continued onward!
