This Buddha is different from the sitting Buddha figure of King Fudo and King Kyou III, but stands upright in the void.
The body of a hundred feet tall, like a luminous giant peak, towering in the sky.
I saw him wearing a phoenix-winged helmet, black clouds and soap shoes, and gold chain mail.
Holding a vajra pestle weighing 84,000 jin, vajra is not bad, and vows that the Buddha was born to support the Dharma.
He clasped his hands together and placed the pestle between two elbows. He was burly, mighty and brave, and his face was majestic!
The pestle is the Vajra Vedic pestle, and the man is the Vedic guardian god!
Wei Tuotian is one of the 24 guardians of Buddhism!
Vedotian, also known as Vedo Bodhisattva, the Sanskrit name is transliterated as privately built Tuodev, meaning cloudy.
Originally the of Brahmanism in India, it was later naturalized as the of Dharma protector of Buddhism. It is one of the representatives of the Vajra guardian of Buddhism.
According to legend, after Sakyamuni Buddha's Nirvana, the heavens discussed with the kings about cremating the remains and collecting relics and building towers for support.
At this time, Emperor Shitian came to the cremation field holding a seven treasure bottle and said that the Buddha had originally promised to give him a Buddha tooth.
So he first took off the tooth of the Buddha and prepared to go back to build a pagoda for support. Sometimes the Rakshasa ghost hid beside Di Shitian, taking care of others and stealing the Buddha tooth relic.
Wei Tuotian rose up to catch up, captured the Raksha ghost in an instant, and retrieved the relic. He won the praise of the kings of the heavens. He believed that he could exorcise evil spirits and protect the Buddha.
It is the twelfth day of the twenty heavens!
The Sutra of Tragedy says: Wei Tuo Bodhisattva was equated with Shakyamuni Buddha as brothers in past lives.
In the past, the Holy King Jiezhuanlun had a thousand sons, who were all brothers. After the thousand sons studied Buddhism, they made vows. After listening to their vows, the Weituo Bodhisattva said: "You are practicing and enlightening, and I will give you when you promote the Dharma. Be a protector and protect you. After you all become Buddhas, I will become the last Buddha."
Later, the Thousand Sons of the Holy King of the Wheel became our virtuous Thousand Buddhas, Shakyamuni Buddha was the fourth, and Wei Tuo Bodhisattva became the last one, named Lou Zhi Buddha.
