Had the ring improved?
There was no doubt that this equipment had been dramatically changed from an Epic item to a Legendary item.
Supreme Four Ring (Epic): Agility +50, Strength +30, Constitution +30, Critical hit +30%, Lifesteal +30%, Special Effect 1: King of the Jungle’s Protection. Instant Cast, summons a natural shield that allows the caster to absorb the full damage of 1 skill. 6 hour cooldown. Special Effect 2: King of the Jungle’s Blessing. Stealth Effect +30%. Special Effect 3: King of the Jungle Cenarius’s special ability. you can learn 3 of the Druid’s Transformation Skills, as well as up to 4 skills that branch out from those skills. Level Requirement: None, Durability: None
There was one major improvement from the Supreme Four Ring. Its unfortified attribute bonuses only granted a total bonus of 110 points, while the Supreme Five Ring provided at least six times that, with each attribute gaining +160. (Before it was Fortified, it only provided +120 for each attribute). Although Intelligence and Spirit were useless to Lu Li, he would greatly benefit from the increased Agility, Constitution and Strength.
The Lifesteal stat in particular was increased by quite a bit, and was approaching the limit that a Thief could reach.
Lu Li didn’t need any other Lifesteal items at all after this one.
The latest patches had made huge revisions to how the critical hit mechanism worked, but an item that gave +37% critical hit was unheard of.
As for the +12% increase in damage, this would basically make him invincible. Lu Li had taken the full Agility route and needed all the damage he could get. As everyone’s Skill Completion rate was getting higher, Lu Li’s damage advantage was not what it used to be.
This 12% increase would place any of his squishy opponents into a miserable situation.
However, what confused Lu Li was the change of two Special Effects.
The Orc Shaman Gar’rok was likely being controlled by Illidan. As such, Illidan had probably manipulated the Supreme Ring with the materials being used to upgrade it. Therefore, the Supreme Ring probably had some of its characteristics changed.
Of course, if the ring really had been taken by Illidan, its attributes would probably be even more different.
Since the ring was still in the hands of a player, the System had to find another way to express those changes. It was understood that Illidan’s strength had corrupted the Supreme Ring, which somewhat weakened Cenarius’s strength. This was demonstrated in the weakening of the third special effect. Even so, Lu Li still confidently felt as though the special effects had been upgraded because of the addition of Special Effect 4.
The Supreme Four Ring had not been very useful for Lu Li, as the benefits didn’t provide any absolute advantages over ordinary Epic equipment.
Now with Special Effect 4, the Ring had become a force to be reckoned with. Having a Demon Transformation was a strong skill that gave him a crowd control and damage reduction. It was essentially like going Berserk.
Lu Li, being one who was never satisfied, felt like it would be even better if its cooldown was 30 seconds.
However, he was also somewhat worried. He wasn’t sure how he would level up the equipment again. Illidan wouldn’t ‘help out’ again, which perhaps meant that the fourth Special Effect couldn’t go any further?
Of course, that wasn’t something he had to worry about right now. He probably wouldn’t be able to find another opportunity to upgrade the ring until he was level 70.
The main thing at the moment was the Instance Dungeon. The Instance Dungeon group was still waiting for him.
The new Instance Dungeon was located in the Auchidoun Ruins in Terokkar Forest.
Auchindoun used to be a temple of Draenei. For thousands of years, the Draenei had buried their dead there. However, members of the Shadow Council snuck into Auchindoun and used the place to summon evil creatures.
Their shameful magic caused a huge explosion that tore the temple apart. The surrounding area that remained was scorched and barren.
The explosion also split a crack into the void, bringing forth spirits from another world into the Outland.
The previously buried Draenei’s restless souls now wandered through the ruins. Moreover, the frightening creatures that the Shadow Council had summoned were always threatening to break out of the Council’s control.
The players had to complete a mainline quest here and they could also farm the monsters along the way.
This was another Instance Dungeon group – one with three Instance Dungeons. There was the Magic Tomb, Auchenai’s Tomb and Sethekk Halls which were currently available to the players. The Shadow Labyrinth was another group Instance Dungeon that contained five Instance Dungeons, but it was only available after level 70.
The Auchindoun Underground City Instance Dungeon required the Auchenai Key. After the players gained enough Reputation in the Shattrath Slums, they would be able to purchase the key from NPC Nakodu.
Once they started their quests, they worked out the conditions required for the acquiring the key.
Ruling Sword had little advantage here because the Reputation requirement was so high. All they could do was slowly farm it. The only real advantage they had was Hachi Chan, who could respond to the NPCs in such a way that they would earn Reputation slightly faster than the other clubs.
There are three Instance Dungeons. Which should we choose?
Let’s go with Sethekk Halls. This Instance Dungeon is more difficult, so it’s safer for us,
Lu Li said without thinking.
The other two Instance Dungeons were relatively simple and there was very little strategy to discuss. If everyone rushed into this Instance Dungeon at once, Ruling Sword would have a smaller chance of getting the First Clear.
The Sethekk Halls were a little more difficult, and one of the steps required a Druid to summon the Raven Lord.
If they got the First Clear, there was also a chance of getting a Crow Mount. Lu Li certainly didn’t want to miss out on such an opportunity.
The monsters in this Instance Dungeon were all Arakkoa. They weren’t that strong and their
numbers weren’t great. Generally, they appeared in groups of three and could be controlled quite easily.
However, this didn’t mean that they wouldn’t get wiped in this Instance Dungeon. It was these smaller monsters that would be reason they got wiped. Several of the monsters had their own special characteristics. For example, the Sethekk Recruits could use magic reflection shields that would redirect magic attacks. There was a real possibility that the players would kill themselves.
There were also the Sethekk Prophets that knew Spirit Control. If they crowd-controlled the players and ran them around, they could easily attract an overwhelming number of monsters.
In addition, the Sethekk Prophets would leave a ghost after their death. The ghost’s attack was high and most professions would die to it in two strikes. If a Cloth-Armored player was not at full HP, they would be one-shot. Fortunately, the ghost moved slowly, even though it couldn’t be attacked, and it would vanish after a few seconds.
Other monsters like the Sethekk Talon Lord and the Big Bord were not easy either, as they synergized well with the other monsters.
All in all, overcoming the monsters would be manageable as long as they fought them in isolation. The only time they faced trouble was when players with low HP stood too close to the ghost and got one-shot.
