Where was this place? Qian Jin reeled a little and had an injury reopened. He opened his eyes and gazed around wearily. The air was so dry that it was depleted of water! There might not be any sources of water despite the sand not being that thick.
Qian Jin squatted down to push the yellow sand aside for a look of the earth.
Generally speaking, what was beneath the sand was still sand in the desert. But after the first layer was unveiled, the ground surface came into sight. There were even several familiar substances hidden in the soil.
Black-sand Iron! Right! It will never reconcile itself to such a deep place! It is likely to appear in the mountains.
Qian Jin frowned, trying to recall the mineral knowledge he had learned from Blake. Black-sand Iron existed like a river. As it slowly flowed forward, the volume became increasingly less.
After walking forward for 100 meters, Qian Jin squatted down and examined it again. There was no Black-sand Iron anymore but only sand one layer after another.
I see…
Qian Jin slowly turned around and looked over to the distance covered by sand.
There should be a mountain. But I’m not sure if there is a cave or some dangerous Demon Beast…
All of a sudden, everything went dark and Qian Jin passed out! Cech Flet immediately grabbed onto him around the waist with both arms. Looking at the sky blurred by the sand set off by a gust, Cech Flet heavily sighed.
Would there really be a mountain? Duren Burg felt uncertain about it as his companions did. The view had long been obstructed by the yellow sand in the air. They had to move forward to find out.
The perennial gusts of wind never stopped! Dimly, the image of a mountain in the distance flicked hither and thither.
At first, Duren Burg had thought it was a mirage. Only after he approached and touched it had he found out this huge mountain made from black boulders and thick yellow sand was real!
How did Qian Jin come to know about this?
Duren Burg exchanged a doubtful look with the two others and walked ahead in a line with great caution.
The special name of Ancient Desert Sea had always been associated with death and mystery. But after walking there for nearly ten minutes, they hadn’t met even a sand mouse, not to mention Demon Beasts.
How bizarre it was! This place was scarier in name than reality. But according to the ways of surviving in the wild they had learned, this was just the calm before the storm.
There must be some high-level Demon Beasts with a strong territorial sense. That was why no creatures dared to come closer!
Into the mountain or not?
After looking at insensible Qian Jin, Duren Burg felt they were left with no other choices. Staying in this windy and dusty place had its own dangers.
It was said the heaviest storm in Ancient Desert Sea could hurt, tear, and even kill a Saint Warrior!
This mountain had been standing here for God knew how many years! Although its body was not as solid as that of a Saint Warrior, it had already been part of the desert, and the storm posed no threats to it.
Where there were mountains, there were caves whether large or small. Ancient Desert Sea was by no means an exception!
The cave was two meters tall and one meter wide. They couldn’t see a thing standing outside of it, but they did feel a joyous warmth, which was different from the dry heat in the desert. It was mingled with spring-like moisture.
Cech Flet held Qian Jin and cast a puzzled look at Duren Burg who was looking back at him with the same expression! Warriors would always have a premonition of disaster after they had gone through all kinds of life and death tests! But they felt nothing now standing in front of this cave.
Twisting his eyebrows together, Fanta Kunge hesitated and looked around. Was it because the Ancient Desert Sea was beset with dangers everywhere so they couldn’t feel different?
I’ll go first.
Glancing over the unconscious Qian Jin, Duren Burg carefully walked into the cave. He kept his Bloodline Power ready in the event of an emergency.
Mysterious rustlings kept coming into their ears…
The wind was still blowing, and it sounded like wolves were howling. Grains of sand collided with each other in the air like stone bombs.
Qian Jin’s eyelids moved several times.
Wake up! Wake up!
Thanks to the habit developed in the Endless World and Four Seasons Valley, he gradually regained consciousness after a short coma.
He tried to start the [Supreme Wind and Cloud Power], but out of his expectation, it just wouldn’t move as if it had changed into a heavy grinding mill. It felt like there had been some special force locking up his warrior power and restraining it from operating.
How could it be like this? Qian Jin blinked gently again! His Warrior Power, which had always moved freely in his energy reservoirs, turned into a beast bound by numerous chains! Any movement became so hard that it seemed impossible!
Why? Qian Jin immersed himself into the 108 energy reservoirs and no injuries had been spotted! The blow of Qian Zhanxuan had just inflicted wounds on his skin and flesh, but not his energy reservoirs nor connections. Why did he feel this way?
What was going on? He had never come across this situation! If his energy reservoirs or connections were hurt, he might just as well find some crude potions to make to heal himself up! It wouldn’t take too much time! But now, there were no visible signs of trauma! Just his warrior power was locked up…
Since that…Qian Jin focused on his breathing, trying to reunite a tiny amount of his warrior power which had fled out of that lock but only to find it also very difficult…
The invisible
lock
had not only locked his energy reservoirs but also entwined the energy connections where warrior power used to trickle; it felt like as if a python wrapped itself around a bull.
Blocked! Everywhere was blocked!
This was…Suddenly, Qian Zhanxuan’s confident look flashed across Qian Jin’s mind…His heart thumped as he was fostering a speculation…He finally understood why the Leader of Qian Family had boasted Qian Wuqing and said he would be defeated in two months…
This was his dirty trick! It would be too obvious from the surface if he had made some damage to Qian Jin’s energy reservoirs or connections. Now, although Qian Jin still had his warrior power, he couldn’t apply it at all! He carried no threats! What a cunning old fox!
How did he do it? Was it because of his Soul Realm? No…Qian Jin twitched his lips and still couldn’t figure it out!
Just in a minute, Qian Jin found those chains and locks had spread all over his body like a spider web, and the warrior power was a mosquito caught in this trap! No matter how hard it struggled, it just couldn’t break free!
Right! Try the Forging Breathing Technique! Qian Jin clearly remembered the technique had been switched on by itself the last time he had taken that Energy Core! This time he had to activate it on his own…But with two broken arms, how could he do it?
Even if he could, it wouldn’t be effective…Since the automatic activation last time, the weird power produced by the Forging Breathing Technique had been stuck between those dead reservoirs and dead connections between the reservoirs; it just wouldn’t cross the line and enter the live energy reservoirs or connections.
Did he have to turn to the Endless World? The [Enlak’s Warrior Power House]? Qian Jin denied this possibility because one could only ask questions after he won all the fights there. And with the physical condition now, it was absolutely impossible for him to win even if he went there! Besides, Blake had told him not to go there unless he had entirely mastered what he had learned.
So, how to unlock the chains? Qian Jin closed his eyelids but kept rolling the eyeballs while thinking about all the possibilities. He concentrated on his chest where lied the central Energy reservoir! The last bit of warrior power was saved in this spot!
However, it was definitely not enough to unlock this weird Warrior Power lock! Could it be melted by the strong heat of the burning lake in Four Seasons Valley?
Woo…A gust rolled the heat waves up, and it swept all the way over the desert till Qian Jin’s face was covered with masses of sand! The hot air flew down into the body through his nose, trying to evaporate the moisture inside.
What a monster-like place this was! It could almost dry a person out! No wonder rumor had it that anyone in the desert should prepare to be a mummy at any time!
The knitted eyebrows suddenly gave a slight twitch…
To be dehydrated? How about burying myself in the boiling sand? It may be a long shot but it is better than becoming a mummy?
Do it or not? Qian Jin opened his eyes and looked around! It seemed relatively safe now. Maybe it was the best timing! Once danger came, that would be too late!
Let me down.
Qian Jin opened his eyes and said to Cech Flet.
I can walk myself!
In his Warrior Dimension, there were a few potions made in the Frontier, most of which were drugs for bone injuries. Moreover, there were some brand new splints and bandages! He took all them out.
Looking at the items in hand, Qian Jin sighed.
Reading more books will never hurt.
This was expressly stated in the Warrior Handbook.
