Noticing the moody look of Zence Matten. Qian Jin wondered what this prince was thinking about. Why had he seemed to have changed his mind several times?
Boom.
A bang produced by a metal piece hitting on the ground stirred up a cluster of dust and attracted the attention of Qian Jin and Zence Matten. They looked toward the direction of Yi’s feet.
Auspicious Cloud Ice-Iron. At the sight of the one-hundred-pound metal, Qian Jin couldn’t help smacking his lips. Well, the second bandit group in the Frontier seemed much more extravagant than expected, to whom a piece of Auspicious Cloud Ice-iron was just a common ware.
As one of the Top Ten Ice-iron, this Auspicious Cloud Ice-iron was among the upstream in the entire ranking, though it couldn’t be compared to the Undersea Ten Thousand Years Ice Auger Iron.
Iron generally enjoyed a high degree of heat absorption which would instantly become heated when placed into the furnace. However, there was a special fraction of metals that didn’t absorb any heating power and was thus named as ice-iron.
Therefore, they excelled in not only hardness but also elasticity.
For most blacksmiths at the forging level, Auspicious Cloud Ice-iron was most suitable for making shields and armor instead of swords. Even if they were required to make swords with this type of iron, they would take only a tiny amount of it for the sake of meeting the elasticity needs. After all, this type of iron had indubitable defects in blending with other metals.
Often, this type of metal was used separately, or with other varieties of ice-iron. To blend assorted types of ice-iron was as difficult as dealing with ordinary metals, if not easier than. For this reason, Auspicious Cloud Ice-iron was usually excluded from the materials for making soul weapons.
However, it didn’t mean that Auspicious Cloud Ice-iron couldn’t be used for making warrior weapons. In fact, if it could be well blended into other metal varieties, it would prove a major material for making almost all types of soul weapons.
A good stuff…
Qian Jin felt his chin. He remembered having seen a special bow in Uncle Blake’s diary which excited his desire for forging, yet he lacked sufficient materials.
It was not until he robbed the headquarters of the bandit group did he get all the required materials. However, he didn’t have any available time to forge it. Now it turned out that he was fortunate to not have started forging, otherwise he would feel regret on seeing this piece of Auspicious Cloud Ice-iron.
Pitter-patter…
Hundreds of demon beasts’ magic cores of different size dropped down from Yi’s warrior dimension. Knocking on the ground, they produced a somehow frolicking sound.
Zence Matten couldn’t stop the convulsing of his eyelids. What a wealthy bandit Yi was! This quantity of magic cores was even shocking and eye-catching for members of the royal family!
Qian Jin knelt on the ground to check these magic cores. According to his observation, most of these magic cores were taken from low-level demon beasts, and few were extracted from mid-level demon beasts. No high-level demon beast’ magic core was discovered.
Alright. Qian Jin nodded his head, saying to himself that those warriors and mages who had means of getting the magic cores of high-level demon beasts wouldn’t be robbed by Yi. Pushing aside the difficulties of plundering these people’s magic cores, it would be costly to defeat these people. So, it was unaffordable to get on the wrong side of those warriors and mages.
Seeing the impassive look of Qian Jin, Yi felt speechless. It was a cluster of magic cores in the hundreds! Even Bhang Wusheng would be shocked to split his lips upon seeing them.
Given the limited quantity of demon beasts, to catch and kill them was no easy task, and to get the magic cores without those setting those beasts blasting was even harder. Yi couldn’t get through the impassive reaction of Qian Jin. In case he presented no surprise or excitement in the face of millions of gold coins, Yi might deem it as a result of having seen a wealth of money.
However, what they were talking about now were magic cores! Didn’t Qian Jin know the value of magic cores? Yi couldn’t figure it out.
This demon beast was killed at the wrong time.
Qian Jin grasped a magic core of a middle-sized Demonic Flamingo and kept sighing.
It was killed in a state of anger before the loss of consciousness. Though its magic core isn’t cracked, much of the magic array inside it should have been damaged.
Really? Yi gazed at Qian Jin in sheer doubt, which made Marc Gavin laugh out loud as it reminded him of what happened to himself the other day. To see others be dumbfounded by Qian Jin’s words and turn out more dumbfounded when what he said proved true was more than thrilling.
Zence Matten came close to observe the magic core of the Demonic Flamingo. He once saw in an extant book kept by his family that the right way to kill a Demonic Flamingo was to knock it out and then take out the intact magic core. Had Qian Jin read this book too? Even if he had read it before, he shouldn’t have had the guts to say so by only observing one magic core.
How could Qian Jin visualize what had happened through one single magic core? Zence Matten couldn’t understand.
Feeling the different looks from all directions, Qian Jin couldn’t help but shake his head slightly. What was so surprising about these one hundred magic cores? He would procure more magic cores by strolling in the West Mountain for a couple of days, though he couldn’t take them out.
But even if he couldn’t take them out, to use them for forging weapons and cultivating rune arts in the Endless World was a lot of fun.
Are you sure of this?
Zence Matten asked in a doubtful way.
Qian Jin nodded and wondered if there was anything wrong. He had killed a batch of Demonic Flamingos in the West Mountains, and the ability to instantly tell the incomplete magic cores from the complete ones was no hard task for him.
Hum. Qian Jin nodded his head again hard. He had seen almost all types of magic cores, except those of the high-level demon beasts. Save for the demerits of these magic cores, he had the blind spots, the combat power and the fighting behaviors of these magic cores at his fingertips.
Yi felt aggrieved as none of these two sets of treasures caught the attention of Qian Jin. It was really a stigma to his dignity and sense of honor being the leader of the second largest bandit group in the Frontier.
I will fight to the end!
Yi looked at Qian Jin and started lamenting. Ever since he met with this young man, he had been living in his shadow. Now he had truly turned into his shadow. He felt a pressing need for him to catch Qian Jin by surprise, otherwise, he wouldn’t live up to his identity of a shadow.
A piece of Level 10 Energy Core.
Qian Jin lifted his eyelids at this crystal. In the Ancient Desert Sea, he got an even bigger piece, apart from which he also discovered a small deposit of energy core from which he procured a wealth of energy cores which he hadn’t used up yet.
It was Rainbow Iron, which could be used as materials for making soul weapons.
Qian Jin raised his hand and touched the metal piece in a composed way. To forge a soul weapon entailed many varieties of materials, so it was stupid to feel excited about getting just one of them.
Why did he still appear so impassive? Yi felt that his feelings were hurt. Even the Bandit King wouldn’t behave so calm in the face of these treasures.
Ultra kill! Yi poured everything kept in his warrior dimension onto the ground, including but not limited to, magic crystal stones, energy cores, energy stones and all sorts of strange stones in front of Qian Jin
Seeing the piling materials, the impassive face of Qian Jin turned sullen.
These materials… these materials… if I added the materials I got several days ago… all right. It would be sufficient to make a special piece of instrument.
He could use them to make more than one piece of the instrument of comparatively small size. Qian Jin figured he could almost make out ten identical gravity-controlling equipment.
The gravity-controlling item Akenash once made in the Endless World. Yet that made by Akenash was much larger.
The training given by Uncle Blake before long was definitely exhausting, but the results were more satisfying than expected. The growth speed of his warrior power became much quicker than before.
To collect materials to make this kind of a magic conductor used to be Qian Jin’s sincere wish which he thought entailed going back to Yulee City and asking the major forces of Yulee for help to get the needed materials.
Unexpected. It was unexpected that by plundering the headquarters of several bandit groups and with the treasures from Yi, leader of the second largest bandit group in the Frontier, Qian Jin gathered all the needed materials.
To make a bigger one? Qian Jin shook his head. It would be better to make smaller ones as Duren Burg and the other fellow friends would eventually leave the Ancient Desert Sea to find him.
I need to make some more.
Qian Jin nodded his head seriously. Were it not for the help from Duren Burg and other fellow partners and their desperate efforts in fending off the dangers for him in the Ancient Desert Sea, he would have long been killed by those atrocious demon beasts and the ruthless Qian Family members.
Yi’s winded nerves relaxed at this moment as he thought Qian Jin was astonished by his wealth of materials.
Qian Jin lifted his head and saw the contented look of Yi,
What’s wrong?
Hehe…
Yi released an elated smirk,
Are you astonished by my treasury?
No.
No? How come?!
Yi raised his voice a lot,
You were so serious…
That’s because I’m thinking.
Qian Jin pointed at the materials on the ground.
About making one or several magic conductors with them…
Bang. Yi dropped the precious metal piece grasped in his palm onto the ground and turned to stare at Qian Jin in sheer shock. To make magic conductors? Was this boy a runemaster?
Anything else?
Qian Jin tucked all materials laid on the ground into his warrior dimension and continued,
since they are of no use to you, why not give them to me.
Yi gazed at Qian Jin in a daze.
Is this boy a born bandit to try taking away all my belongings? Well, let it be. Now that I had started serving as his shadow and had to seek help from him to become sainted, I’d better sacrifice them all, as they would indeed be of less help to me in the future.
These potions…
Seeing Yi taking out some set of potions from his warrior dimension with sheer carefulness, Qian Jin couldn’t help but frown.
Just give me the materials that haven’t been made into potions and keep those finished potions with you.
