After the pain ended, Su Bai took a long breath, sat up on his seat, looked back over his shoulder and found Seven and Gyatso were also sweaty because of the pain. Every time when the Dreadful Radio sent a notification, it would choke everyone with pain, no matter how strong or capable he or she was. Therefore, everyone seemed to be equal in this aspect.
When all of them had recovered, Su Bai smiled:
Is that the so-called benefit?

The three of them would enter the next story world together. To some extent, it was an advantage; after all, they had known each other. Although Seven and Gyatso didn’t seem to be so enthusiastic as Ego and Fatty, they were pretty clear about their bottom lines. Su Bai had noticed that. To be more exact, Seven and Gyatso were smarter, and smarter people usually wouldn’t make stupid choices at crucial moments.
Of course, when it came to benefits, they would have to handle according to the changing circumstances. After all, it was a basic principle to trust no one in story worlds and expose one’s weakness to no one else.
Su Bai took out his cellphone. As expected, there was a message from the official account
kongbu66
on WeChat. This time, it was a short message with some words and only one picture. In the picture there was a coffin, but it was enveloped by darkness and no one could see the surroundings. The words read:
[Story Name] : Mr. Zombie
[Story Attribute] : Exploration and Discovery
[Main Task] : Unknown
[Side Task] : Unknown
[Participant] : Su Bai, Seven, Gyatso, …
Like always, all the other names on Su Bai’s cellphone was blur except for these three.
However, Su Bai felt so funny when he saw the story name. In the rearview mirror he could see that Seven and Gyatso were both looking at their cellphones, so he just waved his hand and said:

You two are masters! A monk from inland and a monk from Tibet. So, in the next story, I’m gonna ride on your coattails.

Su Bai had learned how capable Seven was. Besides, he was a skillful master even before he met Dreadful Radio, and he would be more powerful in the game. Actually, even if those metaphysical masters didn’t get many story points, they had certainly received notable improvement and inspiration; after all, the stories in the Dreadful Radio Game were not something they could meet in their daily lives.
Gyatso was similar to the monk. Su Bai didn’t know much about Tibetan Buddhism, but he could imagine that there must be a lot of skills to handle ghosts. In Su Bai’s mind, all monks were good at dealing with ghosts or zombies. Too bad Fatty, the Taoist, wasn’t here; two monks and a Taoist would make a perfect team for the next story, and it would be seemingly impossible to fail the tasks.

Amitabh, Mr. Su, that’s not right.
The monk put his palms together and said in a serious voice,
Actually, in the next story, we need to ride on your coattail.

What?
Su Bai didn’t get what he said.

Because in the next story, you will run into a lot of relatives.

Su Bai:

By the time of sunset, Su Bai had driven back to Jiuzhaigou Valley. They wouldn’t have much time before entering the next story, although the start time was accidentally left out in the notification. Therefore, Su Bai had decided to find somewhere nice and cozy to remove his fatigue first.
This time, Su Bai had one simple goal: earn two hundred story points so he could have one thousand story points in total and buy that Hellfire Shotgun. He would rather go for the best or buy nothing at all. A weapon valuing one thousand story points would be desired by most audiences of level five, six or even seven. Su Bai had saved so many story points only because his special physique had stopped him from upgrade himself through the e-shop; apart from the Broken Vampire Blood he got at the beginning, he had bought nothing more.
Luckily, with Seven and Gyatso, the next story world would not be too dangerous. That was why he decided to save all his story points.
They booked three rooms in a five-star hotel named
Paradise Intercontinental Hotel
. Su Bai took a shower after settling down in his room. It was a nice hotel, but it wasn’t only because it had great facilities; in fact, all hotels above a certain level would look almost the same, the only difference would be the surroundings and culture.
Such as hotels on an ancient road in a time-honored town, or with a great view of the sea or mountains. There was a French window in Su Bai’s room, and a wooden balcony outside. Pulling up the curtains and stepping onto the balcony, he could see a high mountain, the bottom of which was covered by green trees and the top by snow. Such a gorgeous view was definitely worth the high price. Monk and Gyatso were in the rooms beside his.
Su Bai stood on the balcony in his bathrobe. It was evening time, but due to the time difference, it wasn’t totally dark. It was a little chilly, though. Chengdu would still be as hot as a stove, but here, he would need a coat, or even a down jacket if he wanted to go out at night.
This Hotel was extravagantly furnished with a special relaxation club and a nice swimming pool. Su Bai was planning to go swimming and have a massage after enjoying the view for a little while— those were what he should have done during this trip in the first place, but accidents happened one after another. Now he was just getting back to his original plan.
Just then, Gyatso walked onto the next-door balcony, bare to the waist. He was enjoying the view with his hands on the handrail. When he looked around and saw Su Bai only three meters away from him, he smiled.
His teeth seemed extremely bright; but it was not strongly distinctive since his skin was not as tanned as most Tibetans. He seemed cozy. And he would definitely be described as handsome by any girl.

The monk also joined them. Though he had taken a shower, he was still wearing his training clothes. In that bright yellow suit, he looked tall and straight like a pine tree.

Monk, how old are you?
Su Bai suddenly asked. The monk looked mature, especially in his solemn gown.
The monk seemed to have hesitated for a little while before answering:
I’m… twenty three.

Su Bai was a little surprised. The monk and himself were of the same age?

Hey, I’m gonna go swimming downstairs, you can just take a break. The notebooks for room service should be on the side tables beside your beds, if you want something to eat or drink, just call the front desk. I’ll pay later.

Su Bai said. Then when he was about to leave, Gyatso said:
Swimming? I’ll go with you.

You’re coming?
Su Bai didn’t expect a Tibetan monk to be so not ascetic.
What surprised him more was that Gyatso also invited Seven on Su Bai’s other side:
Master, will you join us?

Sure.
The monk agreed.

Okay. Put on the bathrobes in your closets and let’s have some fun. Monk, you have to change your clothes, or you’ll be attracting too much attention.

The monk nodded thoughtfully.
After a while, Su Bai was in the elevator with Seven and Gyatso who were both in white bathrobes just like his. That felt weird. In Su Bai’s minds, only a layman should be longing for relaxation; ascetic monks like Seven and Gyatso should have stayed in the room chanting sutras and worshiping their Buddhas.
After taking a turn from the hall, they got to the club. It belonged to the hotel, so all the guests would enjoy a special discount. Su Bai had booked top-class rooms, therefore all the services were already covered, all they had to do was to swipe their key cards.
The waiter introduced the services while leading the way, and suggested them to enjoy the hot spring for starters.
Su Bai asked Seven and Gyatso, then they changed their plan and went to the hot spring instead. The hot spring ponds were beautifully decorated with antique-styled architectures; they booked one of the small ponds, took off the bathrobes and got into the warm water.
The pond was covered by glass, and outside the glass were mountains instead of the crowds in the club. It was really enjoyable to relax oneself in such a hot spring pond, because the glass could barely block one’s view.
Su Bai passed the drinks brought by the waiter to Seven and Gyatso. They were pretty close to one another in the pond, which was kind of convenient.

This feels so good.
Su Bai sighed with satisfaction.
This is what a trip should look like.

Seven and Gyatso also closed their eyes, adjusted their breath and started conditioning their bodies. Hot springs were the best place to condition oneself and get rid of internal injuries and impurities.
But after a short time, Su Bai frowned:
Monk, don’t touch my foot with yours. The ascetic should stay away from women, is that why you’re into men?
Su Bai was just joking, but he did feel someone’s foot touching his.
But the monk replied:
But you’re touching me. I didn’t do anything.

Su Bai and Seven looked at each other, and then they turned to Gyatso at the same time. Gyatso was surprised and shook his head. He was sitting sideways towards them, it was impossible for him to stretch his feet towards them.
They were all shocked. Su Bai immediately climbed out of the pond and opened the grille door even without wasting any time to put on his bathrobe.
Outside, there were nothing but desolate mountains. No hotel, no guests, no servants.
Just then, the monk reached out his hand and picked up a human leg from the water:

Amitabh, we are already in the story world.
