Zhu An drew near to him. The palm he flung towards Yan Liqiang was extremely powerful, quick, and violent. Yan Liqiang shifted his body to the side without thinking and similarly took a step forward. The dagger in his hand was aimed at Zhu An’s neck. He seemed as though he was courageously risking his life…
Nine out of ten ordinary people would choose to defend and evade if faced with Zhu An’s attack. On the contrary, Yan Liqiang neither defended nor evaded his attack. He instead chose to fight it out with Zhu An. If you are going to slap me, then I’ll stab you.
To date, Yan Liqiang never fought anyone beyond Martial Warrior realm. The moment Zhu An struck out, Yan Liqiang already understood that he was definitely no match for Zhu An. There was no doubt that Zhu An was not only a Martial Warrior, but also a very powerful one among them. His strength considerably exceeded his own. Under such circumstances, it was meaningless to choose the conventional way of fighting. The disparity between their strengths was simply too obvious. If he wished to escape, he could only fight for a chance by going all out.
Yan Liqiang’s attacks were extremely fierce and confident. Zhu An was secretly startled in his heart too. He realized that Yan Liqiang had nimble footwork and sharp reflexes. The aura and force behind the stab seemed to be rather experienced, somewhat akin to that of a Martial Warrior and unlike a youth that was fourteen or fifteen who hadn’t advanced as a Martial Warrior.
A slapping sound rang out. Zhu An had changed his technique at the last minute when Yan Liqiang’s dagger drew near him. He flung his palm out and performed an unarmed technique, directly slapping the blade of Yan Liqiang’s dagger. Then he kicked Yan Liqiang.
Yan Liqiang sensed only a wave of powerful force coming at him. The dagger in his hand shook and almost slipped from his grasp. His entire arm was numb and it was nearly knocked away. Upon seeing Zhu An’s kick coming towards him, Yan Liqiang immediately performed the ‘Nine Palace Steps’ along with the force on his arm. With that technique, he flipped over with a step and was able to instantly evade Zhu An’s kick, putting some distance between them. He then held his dagger downwards, adopting a defensive stance while he locked his eyes onto Zhu An.
This brat is quite a troublesome one. His attacks are ruthless and cruel. Wu Tao and the other two probably fell into the clutches of this brat. Everyone be careful, don’t let him get away…!
Zhu An yelled. When the other thugs in the surroundings heard him, each and every one of them unsheathed their weapons, simultaneously surrounding them by forming a tight ring and trapping both of them in the middle.
This time, Yan Liqiang initiated the attack without waiting for Zhu An to come at him. He didn’t charge towards Zhu An. He instead turned around when he saw those thugs in the surroundings closing in on him, getting ready to pounce on one of the thugs closest to him from behind.
Zhu An snarled, then pounced on Yan Liqiang like a hawk preying on a rabbit.
However, he didn’t know Yan Liqiang was feinting.
When Zhu An leaped towards him and the thugs who surrounded him closed in on him at the same time, he lowered his body and immediately did a quick roll on the ground. He went behind Zhu An who had soared into the sky from below his feet. Then he leaped up and pounced on one of the thugs that was closing in on him.
Seeing Yan Liqiang pouncing towards him, the thug in front hacked towards Yan Liqiang with the long knife in his hands without a second thought.
Both parties’ weapons clashed against each other with a sharp and clear clank.
Although Yan Liqiang was holding a dagger in his hands, the strength he possessed far exceeded the thug’s. The moment their blades clashed against each other, Yan Liqiang made sure he blocked his opponent’s long knife with his dagger at a spot close to its hilt, instantly repelling it. Without giving the thug any time to react, another dagger suddenly slid out from Yan Liqiang’s left sleeve and that dagger was impaled into the thug’s chest in just a split second…
Yan Liqiang carried not only a dagger on him, but two…
The thug let out a blood-curdling scream, coughed out a mouthful of blood, then collapsed on the ground as he was killed by Yan Liqiang with just a single stab.
No one expected Yan Liqiang to be able to fool these people under such circumstances and even kill someone. Seeing Yan Liqiang who was much like a frenzied tiger, the two bodyguards standing beside Young Master Fu took a step forward together at the same time, shielding that gaudily-dressed fellow behind them.
Zhu An, who was behind him, reacted with a speed beyond Yan Liqiang’s expectations. All Yan Liqiang could feel was a burst of wind behind his back. If he continued charging to the front, he might’ve been able to break out from the ring. However, he would have to fully take the blow from Zhu An when he charged to the front, and this blow would most definitely heavily injure him and even leave him immobilized. Could he possibly escape from this bunch of people after sustaining this blow? Most definitely not.
While his thoughts flowed like electricity, Yan Liqiang had already made his decision. He clenched his teeth and leaned his body to the side. He did a roll on the ground, once again evading Zhu An’s attack.
Although the Lazy Donkey Roll technique didn’t seem all that graceful, it was oftentimes the most effective technique for evading enemy attacks.
Zhu An didn’t expect for Yan Liqiang to not only be able to murder one of his men right under his nose, but he also actually successfully evaded his attacks twice. At this point, he was infuriated by Yan Liqiang.
BRAT, YOU ARE COURTING DEATH!
Zhu An bellowed in rage. A red light shone from his body, and a Dharmic projection of sinister crimson venomous snakes instantly materialized.
The moment the Dharmic projection of venomous snakes appeared, Zhu An’s palms turned red. At the same time, he spread his thumbs out from the other fingers, turning both of his hands into the shape of a snake head. When he threw his hands out, the hissing noises, akin to venomous snakes flicking their tongues, could be heard in the air.
Both Zhu An’s hands were like two venomous snakes; one on the left and one on the right. They intertwined together and dove towards Yan Liqiang.
Yan Liqiang had barely jumped up from the ground when he realized Zhu An’s hands were already right before his eyes. But, he wasn’t bothered by his hands. One of his daggers made for Zhu An’s throat, while the other stabbed towards his chest.
Shortly after a few techniques, Yan Liqiang swung his daggers when he saw an opening and hacked towards both of Zhu An’s hands.
WhenYan Liqiang’s daggers were about to chop off Zhu An’s hands, Yan Liqiang felt his sight waver. Zhu An’s hands changed, and he spread his fingers apart like a wide, open mouth. Both of his hands immediately gripped the backs of Yan Liqiang’s daggers.
OPEN!
At Zhu An’s yell, Yan Liqiang felt his hands shake. A forceful, powerful wave surged forth, causing him to lose his grip on the daggers which then flew out of his grasp.
Yan Liqiang snarled and hurled his fist towards Zhu An. A tiger roar was heard in the air.
Zhu An smiled coldly when he faced Yan Liqiang’s punch. One of his hands transformed strangely like a snake and reached upwards from below Yan Liqiang’s arm. His five fingers then instantly dug into the depression on Yan Liqiang’s right chest, right above his armpit.
With this, Yan Liqiang felt as though he had just been stabbed by a steel knife through his chest. The pain first radiated from the bone marrow before half of his body instantly turned numb. As soon as he coughed up a mouthful of fresh blood, he was sent flying by Zhu An’s attack. He tumbled over a few meters on the ground before he came to a stop…
