Chapter 9:

In the evening, the crimson sunset was falling, and there was intermittent and jerky sound from the piano room.
It's different from her original piano sound!
Gu Miao's black eyes flashed, and he walked in quietly with his lips pressed.
The evening wind blew the curtains slightly, Gu Miao's gaze passed through the gap and saw the girl lowered her head, looking at the phone awkwardly and seriously, and then slightly lowered her head to play the piano keys.
He breathed a sigh of relief, and stepped a little further away.
The yellowed phoenix leaves fell to the ground, and several of them whirled in the air and fell on Gu Miao's shoulders.
He unaware of the window not far away, he was always indifferent like the eyes of the night, revealing a slightly bright brilliance.
Once, the last class on Wednesday and Thursday was his happiest time of the week.
In the chaotic campus life, listening to the melodious piano music quietly outside the piano room No. 8 became his only comfort.
Because only by standing here, he felt that he was so close to her.
It was so close that even his dull heart seemed to be infused with vitality, trembling slightly with the sound of the piano that went up and down.
The sound of the piano today is very strange, not as smooth and sweet as usual.
But Gu Miao's heart still couldn't waver on her own.
He felt like an eavesdropper, hiding in a corner shamelessly, listening to the sound of the piano that did not belong to him, thinking about people who did not belong to him.
The setting sun gradually faded, and Gu Miao heard the sound of the piano in the piano room stop abruptly, and then a woman's voice came.
"get out of class is about to end, let me check how you practiced?"
The piano room was quiet for a while, and Gu Miao heard Cheng Chu's low voice: "Teacher, I haven't practiced well yet, can I do it next week?"
"No, I just gave you so much time." The woman's voice was a little harsh.
A dim yellow street light was lit on the side of the road.
A few seconds later, the inconsistent sound of the piano just came out from the piano room.
The piano sound was interrupted before it appeared for a few seconds.
"Stop, stop, what are you playing, Cheng Chu, even if you don't practice for a week, you won't be like this."
Gu Miao's heart tightened, and then she heard the girl's low voice: "Teacher, I'm sorry, I didn't practice last week."
"What's the matter with you? Isn't it the most diligent one? How come you become like this? Don't even think about going to Haiyin anymore. No music school will want you."
The woman's voice was loud, sharp and severe, and Gu Miao could hear clearly when she stood a few meters away.
His hands trembled slightly.
"I'm sorry." He heard the girl sniffing, some aggrieved voices.
"Is it useful to be sorry for me? I will stay after class and practice for half an hour before going home."
The door snapped shut, and a few seconds later, the piano sounded again in the piano room.
The school bell rang in the distance, mixed with the sound of the piano from the piano room.
After half an hour, Cheng Chu closed the piano cover.
After class, Ji Mingyue came to her with a violin on his back. After hearing her tell the story, she said she was waiting for her at the door, but Cheng Chu persuaded her to go back.
When he walked out of the piano room, the sky was already dark, and the dim yellow lights on the side of the road spilled into the corridor, and Cheng Chu's steps were a bit heavy.
The classroom was already empty, and the tables and chairs were neatly arranged, empty without a trace of popularity.
Cheng Chu walked to his seat and started to pack his schoolbags casually.
She put her hand into the drawer, but touched a packet of plastic packaging.
Only one light was on in the classroom, which was not very bright. Cheng Chu lowered his head slightly and saw a packet of strawberry-flavored toffee lying in the drawer.
It is her favorite brand.
Cheng Chu narrowed her mouth and tore open the wrapping paper. The sweetness of toffee melted in her mouth, and the spring breeze took away all the bitterness in her heart.
She sniffed and looked out the window, only to feel that the moonlight had become gentle.
The next day, Cheng Chu met Ji Mingyue on the way to school.
She patted Ji Mingyue on the shoulder, and said gratefully: "Thank you for the sugar yesterday."
"What?" Ji Mingyue blinked her big eyes, and said suspiciously: "What sugar?"
Cheng Chu frowned: "You didn't put the candy in my drawer yesterday?"
Ji Mingyue shook her head to express her ignorance, and then tugged her sleeve with a smirk: "What kind of candy, hehehe, did the boy who has a crush on you put it?"
"Okay, don't talk nonsense." Cheng Chu was half a head taller than her, so he took her shoulders easily and said, "Go, or you'll be late."
Not Ji Mingyue, who is that?
Ji Mingyue was in the liberal arts class and was not on the same floor as Cheng Chu. After the two were separated, Cheng Chu walked into the classroom alone.
There are still ten minutes before the morning class, and there are only a few people sitting scattered in the class.
Cheng Chu saw Gu Miao sitting and looked down.
Morrowind blew his forehead, and the tip of his nose filled with the familiar fragrance.
Gu Miao's eyelashes trembled.
"Good morning, Gu Miao." Cheng Chu smiled at him.
Gu Miao lifted her eyes, and the dark under her eyes filled with brilliance.
He curled up his mouth and smiled at her.
It was a very faint smile, as shallow as the misty clouds on the distant mountains, fleeting.
Cheng Chu was stunned, his heart couldn't help but jump for joy.
This is the first time Gu Miao smiled at her!
Like a child with a gift, Cheng Chu moved the chair back in surprise, and said happily, "Are you reading?"
"Ok."
"Chinese textbook, this "Easy Travel" is so difficult to memorize, have you finished memorizing it?"
"Ok."
"You're so amazing, did you recite the "Pipa Xing" after that?"
"Ok."
One question and one answer, I always received only one cold "um".
Cheng Chu only felt like a policeman, interrogating a prisoner who refused to cooperate.
For a moment, she almost felt that the fleeting smile before was her illusion.
Cheng Chu turned around a little discouraged and stopped talking.
Several people came in one after another in the classroom, pulling the chairs aside rudely, making a squeaky sound.
Gu Miao lowered her head, and once again resented her stuttering.
It would be great if he could speak normally, so that at least when she was talking to herself, she could say a few more words and could also look at her for a while.
He pursed his dry lips and looked up at the girl's back, his dim eyes filled with bitterness.
A crisp bird's song came from outside the window, and within a short while, the class was filled with people.
