Lu Li could only comfort him with some kind words and try to keep calm. This guy rarely went out to farm anyway and would just gain EXP from the battlefield.
Boss, have you forgotten something again?
Her Tears couldn’t help but remind him.
Oh right. Arathi,
Lu Li mumbled, suddenly coming to his senses.
Her Tears had already mentioned this a number of times, but Lu Li kept forgetting, he had obviously forgotten his end of the bargain. Her Tears felt like he had been wronged.
Arathi was originally a territory in the Kingdom of Arathor. After the invasion of the plague, the Arathi Highlands was formed. As a battlefield, it was called the Arathi Basin.
A long time ago, humans travelled all throughout the south-eastern part of Lordaeron, but due to a threat of a powerful Forest Troll empire from the north, they gradually abandoned their ancient nomadic life. In the long battle against the Forest Trolls, one human called Arathi stood out.
Not only did he unify the humans within six years, but he also established the first kingdom in human history. The Arathor Empire was established on the plateau in the south-east of Lordaeron.
Later, the empire allied with the High Elves of Quel’Thalas to defeat their common enemy – the Forest Trolls. At this time, humans began to learn the magic of the High Elves, and so the early Mages were created.
The Arathor Empire was later divided into seven independent countries due to its rapid expansion and internal conflicts: the Kingdom of Stormguard, the Kingdom of Azeroth, the magic Kingdom of Dalaran, the Kingdom of Gilneas, the small mountain country of Alterac, the sea power of KulTiras and finally, Lordaeron.
Among them, Azeroth and Lordaeron were the strongest. In the following period, the seven kingdoms were generally peaceful except for when dealing with the remaining scattered Forest Trolls.
Unlike the original Warsong Canyon battlefield, Arathi was a new battlefield for parties of fifteen. That meant that no matter whether they were Alliance or Horde, they had to enter in parties of fifteen to represent their faction. The Alliance was fighting a war here for the natural resources.
There were a total of five resources points – the Pound, the Mines, the Sawmill, the Blacksmith and the Farm. The players’ quest was the occupy these resource points and obtain the resources. The two parties would fight and whoever acquired a total of 2000 resources first won.
Fighting on the battlefield was a test of technique. On the surface, if you could kill the opposing players, then you could do whatever you wanted with the resources, but this didn’t just depend on your personal combat strength.
Once the atmosphere of the battle became bloodthirsty, it was easy to lose the main objective without even knowing it.
Therefore, strategy was very important on the battlefield of the Arathi Basin. Even though it was Lu Li leading Her Tears and a group of newbies, he would lose if he didn’t coordinate everything properly.
Therefore, it was very important for everyone to be in a party before entering the battlefield.
There are fifteen players for this battlefield. Anyone who wants to come, just type ‘1’ into the guild channel,
Lu Li said habitually before realizing that he had done something very stupid.
In his previous life, he was part of a small guild which didn’t have many players. Whenever he wanted to enter a battlefield, he would ask the guild first and then slowly gather the remaining players. For big battlefields like Alterac Valley which required 40 players, he might even send a message through the World Announcements.
But now, things were different.
He was the Boss of ruling Sword. The moment he said this, the guild channel was quiet for a while, before suddenly descending into chaos.
A conservative estimate was that at least ten thousand players sent a ‘1’ into the chat. There were several that shamelessly sent more than one, but this was the nature of online interaction. If this had happened a few years ago, it was likely that the server would have crashed.
Lu Li didn’t dare to say anything further, and instead pulled up his friend list.
Moonlight!
If he didn’t invite Moonlight to this event, he might start secretly plotting to kill Lu Li.
Fat Monkey!
Fat Monkey was a very energetic person and was willing to do anything, whether that be an Instance Dungeon, the arena, a battlefield, a quest or even taking a girl around to see the sights.
March Rain!
Ruling Sword’s general consensus was that if they had March Rain, they wouldn’t need to fear death.
Lonesome Flower!
Lonesome Flower didn’t actually enjoy PVP much. When he wasn’t doing Instance Dungeons, he would be farming for levels. Otherwise, how else could he stay within the top three on the Level Rankings? But since he wanted to accompany his sister, he was willing to go to the battlefield. He was also fearless, since his equipment and level meant that he could oppress 99% of Dawn’s players.
Sakura Memories!
Although the Shaman’s Bloodlust wasn’t as rare as it was in the beginning, Sakura Memories had grown more skilled through the PVP training technology at Ruling Sword.
Drifting Rain!
This was the leader of the small Night Watchmen, which was predominantly made up of Ruling Sword players. The Paladins in this group all knew of Lu Li and were mostly from Ruling Sword as well. There were some who had joined the Night Watchmen without joining Ruling Sword, but they all looked to Lu Li like he was a God.
Drizzling City!
This was Ruling Sword’s elite Shaman healer. In fact, he had spent most of his time at the Brotherhood as part of their core elite. However, he had offended that guild’s top level players, so he came to Ruling Sword seeking refuge.
White Traveller!
This player wasn’t as good as Cain’s Left Hand, but he had a very important political status in real life. He had helped the guild through a lot of trouble, so they invited him to guild activities.
Machine Bro!
This was another Priest healer in the guild. His equipment and technique were both quite good. Playing in Arathi required a certain number of healers, so he was chosen.
Wandering was going to try out his new equipment, as he had received quite a few good items from the last Instance Dungeon. With Nuo Yu, Mu Qiu, Kitty Likes Meat, Her Tears and Lu Li, they had enough to form a strong line-up of players.
Lu Li was the team leader. After he had set up the team, he created a chat room, then went to the quartermaster to register them.
The entrance to the battlefield was different from an Instance Dungeon. The team leader needed to register with the quartermaster and would eventually be granted permission to enter the battlefield. Once this was confirmed, the whole team would be transported into the battlefield.
There were two entrances to the Arathi Basin battlefield in the Arathi Valley. The Alliance entrance was at Refuge Pointe and the Horde entrance was north of Hammerfall.
