Pulling them all together? That was completely suicidal.
Azure Sea Breeze didn’t even last a minute; he hadn’t even completely pulled the aggro yet.
They could continue the battle if Lu Li just revived Azure Sea Breeze, since everyone else was already in a capable condition to fight. However, that didn’t happen because General Drakkisath rushed towards Lu Li and the rest of party with his blade raised.

Did you figure out why we wiped? Lu Li asked.

Kinda…I still think that there are too many monsters and the Boss cast a skill on me. My Armor was lowered by a lot, which would then explain the damage from the small monsters,
Azure Sea Breeze answered.

Let’s try again?
Wandering asked with ill intent.

Not now. At least we know not to pull them all together now.

Although Lu Li still hadn’t grasped the strategy behind fighting Drakkisath, he had some sort of an idea now.

Do you mean to use the two Main Tanks and drag them to different sides? I don’t think the Boss is that stupid. The guy looks pretty smart,
Wandering said.

Of course. Dreamy, come here,
Lu Li called as he waved for Remnant Dream to come over.
The little hunter smiled and ran towards.
Remnant Dream was responsible for looting equipment in the squad. She was quite powerful as an individual player since her items were exquisite, but normally, important objectives were not entrusted to her to carry out. Now that she has been called by Lu Li, she was naturally quite excited.
However, Lu Li was ignorant of her excitement. He instructed while pointing at the Boss,
Dreamy, fire an arrow towards the Boss, then run instantly.

Remnant Dream looked at the Boss with fear in her eyes, but gathered her courage and bravely fired an arrow. Then, she immediately took off with her little legs in the other direction.
It was quiet…until someone called out to her.

Dreamy! You didn’t lock onto him! You missed!

Remnant Dream returned, walking with her head down. Her arrow had missed by at least 5 metres! Drakkisath didn’t even look at her.
It was too embarrassing!
This was her first experience with embarrassment in Dawn. She learned from her mistake and made sure that the Boss was hit by her arrow, then ran.
Lu Li saw that Drakkisath was pursuing Remnant Dream, so he commanded the Main Tanks to pull the small monsters. He planned to divide and conquer. It was only through the defeat of the small monsters that the defeat of the Boss would be possible.

Block the small monsters – Breezy, on the left, Wandering, on the right. One person is responsible for three.

This method was what he recalled from seeing in his previous life. He remembered that fighting this Boss required a Hunter in the squad.
Of course, it was possible without a Hunter too. Anyone could pull the Boss. However, not every class was able to escape as easily as a Hunter. After all, Feign Death was one of Hunters’ signature skills.
After using Feign Death, the Boss would lose its target.
It would be unfortunate if the Boss didn’t mind hitting a dead target.

The other classes’ ranges were a little shorter than a Hunter’s. Their Attack Speed was also lower, nor did they have a similar skill to Feign Death. The only way to replicate what a Hunter could achieve was to actually die, or to run from the Boss for an extended period of time.
After Azure Sea Breeze and Wandering took the aggro of the small monsters, everyone else rushed into the fray.

Ouch!
Remnant Dream cried out. Then, everyone saw that the Boss had returned already. The other monsters still had large amounts of HP. They all knew how this would end – another squad wipe.

What happened? How did you die?
Lu Li asked.
Although he didn’t hope to clear the Boss in one try, he hadn’t expected to wipe before they even started.

I ran too frantically, so I accidentally ran the wrong way,
Remnant Dream mumbled while lowering her head, like a misbehaving student.
Hachi Chan heard this and was happy that her squad mate also had a tendency to get lost.
Lu Li didn’t have anything to say.
They were preparing to begin again. Before they started, Lu Li personally brought Remnant Dream and mapped out her route. He also advised her on where to go if she was in danger, or if the Boss was heading back.
There wasn’t much to complain about; no one was perfect.

He never expected Remnant Dream to be as calm as he was – after all, her responsibility was to loot equipment. Her DPS wasn’t low either. With the addition of her pet, Remnant Dream’s DPS already exceeded a majority of the players. However, the party now needed her to do another job, so Lu Li had to be patient and teach her.
Remnant Dream wasn’t complaining; she was taking this extremely seriously. As such, after a few more wipes, a clear improvement could be seen.
It was fortunate that Drakkisath’s movement speed was not very high either. It seemed like one of his legs had been destroyed in battle. Otherwise, Remnant Dream would not have been able to learn this quickly.

Alright! Let’s try and succeed this time. Dreamy, are you sure you’ve practiced enough?

Previously, Lu Li followed her while advising where to go, which meant that they lost out on DPS. Now that she was running by herself, he decided to return to the squad and clear the small monsters with them.

I promise to finish my mission!
Remnant Dream declared as she pumped her fist in the air, then fired an arrow towards the Boss.

Do you not know death?

Although Drakkisath was extremely intelligent, he still went and rushed towards Remnant Dream. His actions then left the small monsters in the hall alone with the players.

Memories, use Bloodlust. Everyone, go all out!
Lu Li yelled.
He was a little nervous. The six monsters all had an absurd amount of HP, and if he recalled correctly, Drakkisath would return after 5 minutes, even if Remnant Dream hadn’t used Feign Death.

Five minutes for six monsters didn’t sound too difficult, but what if each monster had 600,000 HP?
Lu Li suddenly realised that this Boss would likely be nerfed in the future. However, before the difficulty was reduced, Lu Li and his party needed to solve this problem as it currently was.
Suddenly, Remnant Dream reported back on Drakkisath’s movements. It was just as Lu Li expected.
After pursuing Remnant Dream for 5 minutes, Drakkisath returned. It didn’t matter if Remnant Dream was firing multiple arrows at him; he quickly reappeared in the party’s field of vision. Then, he cast Ignite on the members of the party. Ignite decreased the Armor of its victims, which led to quick deaths at the hands of the small monsters.
As for the small monsters, not even 1/3 of their HP had been cleared.
This was the result despite the whole party unleashing all they had on these monsters. This meant that it was impossible for them to clear the small monsters in such a short period of time.
However, no one gave up. If these things were easy, then the game would be quite boring.

Dreamy, don’t fire an arrow at the Boss this time. Instead, lure the small monsters. Breezy, take only the Boss’ aggro. Be careful to not taunt the small monsters as well.

Lu Li quickly decided on a new strategy, which was to try and lure the small monsters away instead.
The Boss could be lured anywhere in the dungeon, but the small monsters couldn’t. The monsters didn’t even exit the hall. As soon as they reached the entrance, they immediately stopped and returned. Their area of activity was set to be within this hall by the System.
Lu Li quickly devised a few more plans. Although these were somewhat functional, it didn’t seem like it would succeed in defeating the Boss.

Maybe this instance dungeon is too difficult for us to tackle right now.

Wandering was quite open-minded. After all, if Ruling Sword couldn’t defeat the dungeon, the other guilds wouldn’t be able to either. Furthermore, Lu Li’s quick mind and his devising of strategies had opened his eyes to his commander’s capabilities. He reasoned that there was no one better than Lu Li in the whole of Dawn.

No matter the strategy, it seems like our offensive power is nowhere near enough unless all our equipment is Legendary,
Lu Li said, deep in thought.

How about collaborating with Drizzle Court and Peerless City? We can give Rend’s strategy to them while they lend us their equipment. They wouldn’t reject it, would they? We already have people with Legendary items in the guild, so I don’t think it would be hard to piece together fifteen sets of Legendary items,
Fat Monkey suggested.

We need to practice with the new items anyway. It wastes too much time,
Lu Li said, then continued,
Go and message Square Root Three and see what he can do with the Legendary items in the guild. If we have to, we can borrow those.

That wouldn’t matter that much then would it? After we defeat the Boss, the elite squads wouldn’t be able to tackle this dungeon, even with the correct strategy.

He was right – there would be different levels, different classes, different standards of battle. Even if this strategy was given to others, they wouldn’t be able to defeat this Boss anyway. After all, relying on equipment would take away the reliance on skill.

Well, let’s see what happens. I remember that there is a quest given by Marshal Maxwell. Hachi Chan, come with me. Maybe this might help with the Instance Dungeon,
Lu Li said.
