Razuvious, who kept shouting that he was innocent, was dragged onto the gallows. The common people who had been bullied by the Cursed Disciples angrily spat and threw stones at Razuvious’ corpse. However, the Cursed Disciples also happily stole away Razuvious’ corpse and took it to Naxxramas under the cover of night.
Do it according to my instruction!
Training time’s over! Show me your real strength!
You’re too much of a disappointment, you loser!
From that day, Razuvious trained batch after batch of Death Knights, carrying with him his anger against the living. He also held the hope that one day, he would also die a glorious warrior’s death on the battlefield.
As an instructor, Razuvious certainly didn’t lack students.
In the Boss’ room, there were eight Death Knights, or rather, eight Death Knights which were allowed to die. They could only step onto the battlefield for the Lich King once they graduated after reaching Razuvious’ standards.
First, it was time to start fighting the monsters. There were too many students. Azure Sea Breeze went up to initiate the fight, then everyone died.
They tried it a few times like this, and the conclusion they came to was that defensive Warriors couldn’t go up to initiate. They could only let someone else do the job. Generally speaking, there were only a few roles who could initiate. One was having the Priests control the undead monsters, while another was to have the Mages use Ice Block. Yet other was to have the Hunters make the first shot, and then immediately cast Feign Death. In fact, Thieves could also pull the Boss over too.
After he was pulled over, everything wasn’t done and dusted though. Azure Sea Breeze dejectedly realized that he couldn’t aggro it himself.
Even a normal attack could kill him in one shot. A single normal attack would deal 5000 damage, and three in a row would deal 15,000.
This damage seemed to be just because of the rapid rhythm of the attack and had nothing to do with which role was tanking. Lu Li led everyone to focus their energies on those eight students. These students were already undead and could be controlled by the Priests. In other words, they could be commanded to go up and tank the Boss.
Actually, this really was the correct method, and it was the only method.
The players who gave up on the Death Knight zone wouldn’t have thought that if they knew this method, Razuvious was a piece of cake.
The monsters actually have skills!
March Rain exclaimed as she tried to control a student, and realized in pleasant surprise that her target had a number of spells to choose from.
They were each basically a simpler version of a defensive Warrior, with Taunt and Shield Wall. What was more important was that each student had 320,000 HP. Eight students combined were already enough to be a Boss.
This way of killing them was just too simple.
Starting up here meant pulling the Boss to a certain position, and in that position, a Tank would pull aggro the student. A Priest would control one of them, commanding him to go and tank the Boss.
Everyone would then focus-fire the Boss, while the monster was controlled.
Of course, Razuvious was still very difficult. After all, the Death Knights had very few skills. Shield Wall had a cooldown of one minute, and they would often lose their aggro against the Boss because the players would deal too much damage.
Usually, it was just Mages and Thieves who had this problem. Mages had Ice Block and Thieves would use Evasion. The Priests who were right in the middle of controlling little monsters needed to notify the two substitute Priests. These Priests would then immediately control new death knights and Taunt the Boss.
This sort of arrangement was even more complicated than the average change of position. After all, there wasn’t any particular pattern to this.
Priests weren’t roles that specialized in Defense. Most Priests were at a complete loss as to how they would use Warriors to aggro monsters. It was simply this process of getting used to things that drove Azure Sea Breeze crazy. This was the most depressing Boss to fight. If he wasn’t needed to command the Priests to pull monsters, there probably wouldn’t be any place for him to showcase his talents.
Those who didn’t have any worth could only be made substitutes.
They definitely wouldn’t be able to take down the Death Knight Instructor this time.
On the second day, they were only just starting to work together coherently, and on the third day, they finally reached the 2nd stage of the Boss. This stage had an extra skill compared to the first one.
When the Boss’ HP dropped to 30%, he would make a Big Shout.
Big Shout: All those who were within 35 yards of the Boss’ field of vision would have their mana depleted and dealt damage according to how much was burned.
The amount by which it was multiplied was related to the time of the battle. The earlier they got into this situation, they lower the multiplier. The longer the battle went for, the more ridiculous this multiplier would be. As such, everyone preferred to deal more damage and risk drawing aggro than slowly wearing down the Boss to this stage.
As long as the Boss couldn’t see you, then there was no problem in dodging the Big Shout. There were quite a few places in the room where you could hide from the Boss’ line of sight.
However, while other people could run, the Priests who were controlling the death knights couldn’t. Because of this, they couldn’t keep too much mana.
There was no doubt that this was a First Clear.
It had taken a whole week to kill this Boss before it could be considered defeated. Even if Instructor Razuvious was only the entrance Boss in the Death Knight zone, he was really just too powerful. Even if other clubs were able to think of this strategy, they would be sent to the grave and back again.
Three Skill Points were rewarded for the First Clear. Lu Li finally received one.
There was no way to describe his happy surprise. Each time, he could only watch on helplessly at others getting Skill Points. This time, that pressure was finally off.
Even so, he was still relatively solemn. When he smiled, he didn’t show his teeth.
Stop smiling like an idiot. Do you actually want to keep these stones? If you don’t want them, I’ll put them in my bag,
Remnant Dream scolded.
Cough, put those in the guild storehouse if no one has a use for them.
Wow, an Enhanced Skill Book!
This was worthy of a Boss which had taken them a week to finish off.
Lu Li’s thoughts turned away from the Skill Points immediately. Taking the Enhanced Skill Book, he realized that it was actually for Frostbolt, and had absolutely nothing to do with his role as a Thief.
Frostbolt was a basic skill for mages, as well as their most commonly used skill. With an Enhanced Skill Book, damage output was sure to be increased.
Mages, go bid!
There weren’t many using Ice Magic, but it turned out that the one with the highest points wasn’t actually Lonesome Flower, but was actually the usually gloomy Sky Moon.
This guy was actually full of fervor beneath his restrained appearance. He would occasionally receive points from commanding, and like Lonesome Flower, who occupied the top of the list with the most output, he didn’t lack DKP. If the price of magic equipment wasn’t so high, he could be the one who dominated when it came to points.
At this time, Lonesome Flower had 170 points, and Sky Moon spent 180 points to take away the Skill
Book.
After taking he book, he still had about a dozen points left. He almost didn’t have enough to win out against Lonesome Flower.
Lu Li was happy to see Sky Moon take his reward. There was too much of a difference between Sky Moon’s and Lonesome Flower’s damage output.
This Enhanced Frostbolt was able to give a small boost to Sky Moon’s damage. If it was given to Lonesome Flower, it would just increase the chances for him to get to draw aggro, and Azure Sea Breeze would have no way to pull him back.
