: War in Stranglethorn Vale (5)

Lu Li left Gorgrom base camp and began flying towards the Midza Ruins which were located in Ogre territory. Ogre Grunts occupied the outer ring while the higher-grade Elite Ogres resided in the center of the map.
Lu Li had heard in his past life how Shadow Wind had Stealthed in from the outside and pulled the monsters. However, he had done this when he was already level 50.
Lu Li dared not attempt this because Mosh’Ogg Witchdoctors could detect Stealth units. Unless he constantly stayed more than 5 yards away from them, a mere level 40 Thief would be killed instantly once detected.
In his mind, he was thanking the developers for not designing an air unit for the Ogres.
When he arrived at the Ogre Main Camp – Mosh’Ogg Troll Hill – he began to descend carefully.
This was originally an underground palace for the Trolls, but the Ogres came and claimed it as their main camp. The defense here was quite scarce because they had placed all their manpower in the outer borders and were confident that no one could break through.
In saying that, there were still a number of Mosh’Ogg Maulers, Witchdoctors and Spellcrafters patrolling the area.
Lu Li Stealthed into the cave; this was the key factor in determining his success.
Fortunately, most of the Ogres were asleep and there weren’t any Witchdoctors around that could detect him. There were some Mosh’Ogg Shamans, but Lu Li could easily sneak past them.
After exploring the cave for a while, he finally found what he was looking for.
Lu Li climbed onto a pillar so that he could overlook the palace. He almost scared himself to death when he saw Mai’Zoth. He had only seen him once in his past life, but Lu Li recognized him immediately because of his distinctive model.
Mai’Zoth was one of the strongest Bosses in Stranglethorn Valley, along with Commander Aggro’gosh and Far Seer Mok’Thardin. He specialized in controlling souls with magic.
His greatest achievement was luring the famous Coulson Special Forces, including their commander Colonel Conrad, into their downfall.
Conrad was an experienced general and an outstanding tactician who had brought many great victories for the Alliance. Colonel Conrad, along with the Special Unit, was ordered by the Stormwind Kingdom to station in Strangelthorn Valley to carry out a classified task.
The Special Unit codenamed
Coulson
was a team created to protect the royalty of Stormwind. The team consisted of famous commanders such as Chief Esquivel, Captain Doren, Jacob Anders, Chief Gaulus and Officer Mirenda. Each and every member of the special forces was an elite soldier and had received strict training prior to the mission.
Unexpectedly, Captain Doren started a rebellion against Stormwind Kingdom by convincing his group to leave the campsite. They then engaged in guerilla warfare near the North of Strangelthorn Valley against the Special Unit.
This was the former campsite of the Rebels who were defeated.
Upon seeing a Mai’Zoth, a monster who was capable of wiping out an entire Special Force Unit, Lu Li was scared senseless. He dared not to look or feel anything; he even stopped breathing completely.
After a while, when Lu Li could no longer hold his breath, the sound of Mai’Zoth’s staff hitting the ground as he walked became more and more distant.
Lu Li waited even longer before peeking out to make sure Mai’Zoth was gone.
It didn’t matter what the Trolls did here back in the day; this palace belonged to the Ogres now. A palace was incomplete without a king.
The developers had yet to give the new king a proper name. He hadn’t been properly crowned as a king because he was still a child. The previous king was assassinated by Shadow Hunter Vol’jin, the chieftain of the Blackspear Tribe.
Lu Li would not go easy on him, even though he was still a child.
That’s right – his target was the little Ogre. If he managed to kill the little rascal, the whole Mosh’Ogg Troll Hill would be infuriated.
Lu Li carefully studied the pattern of the patrols and found the right timing to sneak past them into the palace. There were no guards or servants inside.
The little Ogre was napping.
Lu Li walked closer towards the tiny Ogre then casted Preparation and Ambush, stunning him immediately, then finished him off with the rest of his combo.
Lu Li overestimated the little Ogre because he hadn’t realized that he was only level 10.
Even though he was an Elite boss with 10,000 HP, as a level 10 monster, he was no match for Lu Li’s damage.
Each hit dealt more than 2,000 points of damage and the little Ogre was killed before Lu Li could finish his combo. The sad part was that the little Ogre was crowd controlled the whole time, so it couldn’t scream for the guards for help.
Lu Li slit the corpse open and collected two bottles of Fresh Ogre BLood.
The level 10 Steel Grade Equip that he looted was thrown away because it was worthless and took up inventory space.
After finishing his job, Lu Li left the Ogre underground palace as quickly as he could because the patrolling guards would check up on the little Ogre ever so often.
Although he had limited time, Lu Li was the type of person to perform under pressure. He was able to remain calm the entire time, avoiding the Ogres along the way as he carefully sneaked past the cave.
Right before he left the cave, he heard loud and chaotic cries of anger echoing behind, and the entire Ogre camp became frantic like a colony of ants.
All of the Ogres began rushing into the cave, making Lu Li’s exit even harder. However, they were all distracted by the loud cries and screams and didn’t notice Lu Li, who was Stealthed right next to them.
When he exited the cave, Lu Li saw Mai’Zoth rushing towards the cave from afar.
Mai’Zoth was the Elite boss of the area and usually patrolled around the entire map instead of being stationed around the palace like the other Ogres. As soon as he had heard the news, he hurriedly rushed back.
Lu Li avoided the Elite boss completely. He waited a while and took out the two bottles of Ogre blood in his bag, then threw them onto the ground. The unique scent of Ogre blood traveled through the air very quickly and immediately caught the attention of all the Mosh’Ogg Ogres.
Lu Li shapeshifted into a Crow and rolled around in the blood before taking flight into the air.

Damn intruder! We’ll make you pay for this!
Mai’Zoth roared like thunder upon realizing that his king had been assassinated.
He casted lightning bolts towards the crow, but Lu Li had predicted this and had already flew out of range.
In his past life, Shadow Wind had run away on foot, but he was much higher level. Lu Li decided against this and took the safer route of escape in the air.
