As the winged dragon watched the swarming undead army infiltrating its territory, rage filled its eyes as it let out a long screech.
On cue, the undead creatures on the mountain immediately mobilized and swarmed toward the enemy.
Standing at the forefront were three towering zombies with an odd blackish-green complexion. They were about three to four yards high, their bodies completely covered in scales of a green bronze color. Their faces were metallic green as if they were made of steel or iron. Their eyes were bloodied red, with fangs protruding from the side of their lips, making them look quite monstrous.
Each of them radiated a powerful aura that was not inferior to Wu Ye, and even stronger than most crystal skeletons.
The three zombies’ Soul Flames blazed as they let out a soundless shriek toward Yan Luo’s undead army, causing a furor among them.

Yan Luo sneered. With a silver flash behind her back, a pair of silver wings sprang out before she darted forward like a phantom.
Watching the enemy leader charging at them, the Cadaver Jiao Dragon’s serpentine body rose into the air to meet her.
Appearing like a blur of silver, Yan Luo suddenly sped up faster and faster until she zipped through the centermost of the three Earth-rank zombies.
A glint of silver sparkled, and when it died, the zombie in the center had already been cleaved in half. With a crash, the two halves of the body weakly dropped to the ground.
Yan Luo’s troops were instantly motivated with the first kill as they rose to meet their enemy.
The two armies clashed as the sounds of swords and weapons crossing rang through the air while sparks and ripples danced in the atmosphere.
Wu Ye’s Soul Flames shone as he swung his jet-black bone sword at the other Earth-rank zombie. Turning himself into a black shadow, he stepped through the opening next to the zombie.
Tscch!
The towering zombie’s arm was instantly severed from its body!
On the side, the crystal skeleton Bi Ling appeared to fade in and out of thin air as undead creatures around it was either abruptly rent into pieces, or suddenly had their esophagus pierced.

The Cadaver Jiao Dragon’s army may have been massive in size but lost one of its Earth-rank commanders. Now that they clashed, it seemed that the two armies were actually more or less equal.
In the air above them, Yan Luo and the dragon were already engaged in a heated battle.
Yan Luo deftly cruised through the sky, her silver spear blooming into a ten-yard long light as shadows of her weapon pelted the Cadaver Jiao Dragon like a relentless storm.
The dragon bellowed. Its body, although not too slow, was still too heavy to compete with Yan Luo’s speed. The leviathan was like a pin cushion taking the spear’s attacks.
Spear thrusts rained down on the Cadaver Jiao Dragon one after another, causing large gashes as scales and yellow liquid fell from the wounds.
The Cadaver Jiao Dragon gave out a long enraged cry and its body suddenly radiated a terrible aura of black light. Three black tornadoes roared at its side, stirring the air around it into violent chaos.
Yan Luo’s body was like a leaf tossed in the wind. Her speed was inevitably compromised by the chaotic turbulence, and now she was unable to get within attacking range of the beast.
The dragon seemed to have been relieved by the new pace as it roared, shooting a single pillar of black wind that took the form of a dragon clawing its way menacingly toward Yan Luo.
Watching the advancing attacker, Yan Luo stopped and her eyes flashed a silver glow.
She raised the spear in her hand and an orb of white flames appeared on its tip, blazing so fiercely that it causes a heatwave as if it were about to melt the very air.

Yan Luo yelled as she hurled her silver spear out of her hands. It turned into a dart of dazzling light flitting across the sky so fast, that even a bolt of lightning could not compare to its speed. The world seemed to be illuminated in that brief millisecond.
The silver dart of light cut right through the black tornadoes, and without its momentum or power compromised, the spear landed straight into the dragon’s pate.
A new hole was instantly burrowed out of the spear, but the worse was yet to come—in the very next second, its brain exploded instantly as its flesh and yellow fluid splattered out of the burst.
The black tornadoes around the winged leviathan immediately dissipated. Its massive body fell out of the sky before slamming downwards on the undead creatures below it, crushing hundreds of soldiers to death under its weight.
Yan Luo slowly lowered herself from the sky, her aura of silver dimmed as her armor appeared to have lost its luster.
The Cadaver Jiao Dragon’s army watched their leader fall out of the sky, decapitated, and they froze.
Yan Luo took a deep breath before emitting silver light from her body once more, this time spreading an indomitably fierce aura throughout the entire battlefield.
Instantly, the dragon’s army knelt down in obeisance to her.
The only one who had refused to do so was the single remaining Earth-rank zombie, who glared at Yan Luo with complete hostility as it let out low angry growls.
Yan Luo’s eyes fell onto this Earth-rank zombie as a surge of devastating pressure wrapped around the defiant opponent.

The zombie was shocked to see that the pressure had become a tangible force. It hammered into it while its body sank into the earth bit by bit as if the ground had turned into a puddle of quicksand.
The zombie let out a furious roar as it struggled with all its might, but the force acting on its body was increasing by the second until half of its body had been completely sunken into the earth.
The lights in the Earth-rank zombie’s eyes finally dimmed as it lowered its head before Yan Luo, admitting submission.
Yan Luo withdrew her pressure, but not before sneering at the creature. Slowly, the glow from her body receded.
She took a deep breath and summoned the Fallen Angel Desk. A large patch of blackness emanated from the Fallen Angel Desk instantly and blanketed the Cadaver Jiao Dragon.
Grey smog quickly escaped from the dragon’s body in large droves along with a few faintly-shimmering sparks into Yan Luo’s body.
Soon, her dimmed glow was brightening up again as she recovered her lost strength.
Fifteen minutes later, the Cadaver Jiao Dragon’s body had turned into a completely dehydrated corpse while the silver lights from Yan Luo’s body had been completely replenished.
She waved, and a shot of silver light flew out of the dragon’s corpse and into her hand—it was her silver spear, although at the moment it had lost any of its previous lusters, perhaps because it was damaged from the attack from before.
Yan Luo’s eyes were draped with streams of silver lights as they coursed from her pupils toward the silver spear, repairing the weapon back to its mint condition in a span of a few minutes.

Yan Luo cast her gaze towards the horizon before expanding her wings of light and zipping into the air toward the direction she was looking at.
The two armies on the ground instantly united together to form a large league and followed Yan Luo.

A few days later, near a large Darkwater Lake, two armies were locked in a deadly battle. One of them was, of course, Yan Luo’s army.
The soldiers involved numbered in the millions. As the battle waged on, the earth seemed to tremble at the intensity of the fight. Even the normally calm surface of the Darkwater Lake was riddled with ripples.
Grey flames and silver lights burst and faded in the melee like fireworks.
At this moment, a single shriek suddenly ripped through the air, causing half-transparent ripples to appear in the sky. A dart of white light surfaced, and all at once, the fighting ceased.
Two figures could be seen in the air: Yan Luo’s silver spear, with an orb of white flames on its tip, had pierced through the head of a grey figure.
The grey figure appeared to be a skeleton who was about the same size as Yan Luo. Its bones reflected the distinct luster of metal while it wielded two gigantic grey axes—now blunt and a bit jagged.
The grey skeleton’s Soul Flames flickered for a while before they were completely snuffed out, its remains falling down from the air.
Yan Luo once again summoned the Fallen Angel Desk, taking in the grey skeleton with its spade-like black light before absorbing it into the tool.

Half a month later, in a desolate desert.
Yan Luo’s undead army was once again engaged in a brutal fight with another undead army. This time, the other party appeared to be inferior in numbers.
That was not all; Yan Luo’s army was now joined by about five or six Earth-rank undead creatures, and so the victor of this battle became more and more obvious by the second.
Close to the battlefield, the air was filled with artificial sandstorms as rumbles blared. Within the tumbling sand and air were two figures—one of them appeared to be a giant lizard while the other appeared as a silver humanoid.
The battle within the sandstorm lasted about half an hour until a large figure suddenly flew out of the ring before smacking down on the ground.
It was the gigantic lizard, its head cracked open while its Soul Flames twinkled dimly at the edge of being snuffed out.
Before the skeletal lizard could pick itself up, a shot of silver flung out of the sandstorm and penetrated the gash on the lizard’s head, stabbing through the lizard’s Soul Flame.
With its flame of life gone, the lizard’s body lay motionless on the ground.
Yan Luo opened its mouth wide and sucked in the fragmented embers of the enemy’s Soul Flames, which in turn powered up the silver lights on her body even more.
A few moments later, the battle between the two armies nearby had ceased as well.
Yan Luo, now leading her undead army five to six million strong, charged towards a distant destination again.
Her army’s number and combative power had long surpassed her modest beginning, but she did not seem to ever be satisfied. In fact, it appeared that Yan Luo was hellbent on continuing her conquest, annexing others’ armies in order to increase her own.

Phoenix Haven City—a large city belonging to the barbarians of the Western He continent, located at the intersection of both the barbarians and the demons’ territory.
As this city was close to where the demon races lived, many of them also visited the city under some disguise, allowing the city to offer many rare treasures usually restricted only to the demon race. Barbarians, interested in their goods, would frequently visit the city too.
The afternoon sun hung in the sky while the city streets were bustling with people.
Strolling down one of the streets was a man in a green robe and a bamboo hat. He seemed to be just frolicking around in the city without a particular goal in mind.
On the man’s shoulder sat a parrot with technicolor feathers, eyeing the crowd around them intelligently, seemingly unabashed.

Shi Tou, I have no idea you had it in you to be so cruel! You abandoned me at the Heaven Ascension Peak, forcing little old me to go into hiding… I was almost caught by a few of those demons, did you know that? Oh, I bet you don’t know this: the other day, a Xian Tian level Yellow Haired Eagle pursued me relentlessly! If it wasn’t for my wits and skills, you would have never, ever, seen me again…
Cai ranted under its breath, wailing and moaning about its terrible life living on Heaven Ascension Peak during Shi Mu’s disappearance.
The two figures were, of course, none other than Shi Mu and Cai.
By now, it had been about twenty-odd days since Shi My had left the Dead Spirit World.
