Chapter 1331 - Jiang Yi Must Die!

Chapter 1331: Jiang Yi Must Die!
Gu Mu! Commander Gu!

Uncle Lu’s eyes were filled with unimaginable hatred. The mastermind was the Earth Emanations Pavilion Luo Clan? This Gu Mu was one of the commanders of the Earth Emanations Pavilion. He was also a lackey of the Earth Emanations Pavilion Luo Clan; a powerful and crazy one at that. He was well-known throughout Divine Eagle City.
After pondering for a little longer, everything made sense to Uncle Lu. Luo Fu had the strongest battle ability in Divine Eagle City. Another talent from the Battle God Pavilion Luo Clan went to Blue Eagle Prefecture as well. The Battle God Pavilion was the most powerful in the Higher Domain. It was well-respected everywhere it went. The Earth Emanations Pavilion Luo Clan had been suppressed by the Battle God Pavilion Luo Clan a couple of times in recent years. It was only natural that they would feel upset.

That brat is from Demon-Killing Pavilion. Has the Earth Emanations Pavilion Luo Clan and Demon-Killing Pavilion joined forces?

A thought surfaced in Uncle Lu’s mind, but there was no point in thinking about these things anymore. Even he thought that he would die for sure. Gu Mu was very powerful. He was an upper-tier Earth Emanations, an upper-tier God King. That was a whole tier higher than Uncle Lu himself. An Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast was behind him as well. He was caught in the middle; how could he hope to survive?

Even if I die, I will make you suffer!

A crazed look crossed Uncle Lu’s eyes. His battle sword cut through the air and shot towards the Primitive-Grade Chaos Beasts behind him. The beasts flew back from the impact as the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast roared and charged towards him again.
This time, he did not attack the beast. Instead, he charged toward Gu Mu at a frightening speed. At the same time, he waved his battle sword around, capturing the wind and clouds from all directions. The space began to fluctuate, and a crazy wind built up around them. With Uncle Lu as the center, the wind formed a huge and frightening hurricane.

A wind-elemental nomological mystical ability, the Clean-Sweeping Hurricane? Hurhur, Luo Lu, you’re already at the brink of death; and you’re still struggling?

A cold, mocking look crossed the murky depths of Gu Mu’s eyes. This wind-elemental nomological mystical ability, the Clean-Sweeping Hurricane, was not considered strong. Ordinarily, it would only be used to trap enemies. To a formidable martial artist of his caliber, this was not even considered a threat.

Something isn’t right…

Something suddenly dawned upon him. At a time like this, Luo Lu was employing this mystical ability. This attack was not even a gold-elemental nomological mystical ability, which was supposedly his strength. Gu Mu used his divine senses to scan the hurricane and found that the heavenly powers in Uncle Lu’s body were spinning crazily. Suddenly, his expression changed. Enraged, he cried out,
Luo Lu, you crazy man! You want to explode yourself!

Hahahaha!

Luo Lu laughed maniacally. The heavenly powers inside his body were picking up speed. Even the heavenly powers inside his divine core were shooting outward. He knew that he was going to die for sure so he wanted to drag Gu Mu down with him as he died. He knew that Gu Mu would not die even if he exploded himself, but an Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast was still behind him.
Boom!
Just as a yellow, round shield appeared outside of Gu Mu’s body, Uncle Lu’s body lit up with a blinding white light which shot out in all directions. He looked almost like another sun. At that moment, the heaven and earth energy around them shook as well. An explosive sound echoed throughout a-few-hundred-kilometers’ radius. The terrifying impact caused even the volcano to shake uncontrollably, and molten lava kept spilling out of it. The lava in the Fire Lake overflowed as well, creating waves of lava that traveled toward the east.
Pong-pong-pong-pong!
The Primitive-Grade Chaos Beasts were mostly burned alive. Fresh blood spurted in all directions. The few Chaos Beasts that had been too close to the explosion were blown to bits from the impact. Gu Mu’s earth-elemental shield broke into pieces as well, and his body was thrown backward. He landed hard on the volcano and then rebounded, at last landing on the ground. He writhed around in pain.

Wu-Wu—

The ancient-grade chaos beast was very close to Uncle Lu, to begin with, so it suffered significant injuries as well. However, its defenses were much stronger. Its head and chest were injured, its body became a blur of flesh and blood, and a few of its bones were broken. However, it was not critically injured.
Its huge body was thrown back about tens of kilometers. It flew up once again, outraged. The anger burning inside it made it want to tear all humans into pieces. In its eyes, Gu Mu and Uncle Lu were on the same team. There was still life in Gu Mu’s body so it wanted to take revenge.

Pfft!

Gu Mu was not dead, but he was not having an easy time either. He spat out a mouthful of blood and quickly crawled to his feet. He looked at the Chaos Beast shooting toward him from far away. Anger and pain were mixed in his gaze.
The plan worked perfectly this time. Luo Ting was dead, and so was Luo Lu. He was severely injured, but this Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast alone could not kill him. If he could escape in time, he had a good chance of evading far away.
The only problem was… Jiang Yi was not dead!
In Luo Qingyan’s plan, Jiang Yi had to die. He did not run away immediately after luring the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast out because he wanted to make sure that Jiang Yi would die as well. If Jiang Yi remained alive—no matter how many changes there were in the circumstances, the Battle God Pavilion Luo Clan would still send tens of God Generals their way. If Jiang Yi landed in their hands, the Earth Emanations Pavilion Luo Clan would be in trouble as well.

This brat must die!

Gu Mu’s gaze turned determined. He decided to take the chance. He had to kill Jiang Yi himself before he could run away. He retrieved a metal rod which lit up in his hands and grew bigger by the second. He forced himself to endure the pain shooting throughout his body. Then, he waved the metal rod around in the air and flew toward the Chaos Beast which was charging towards him.

Pfft!

The Chaos Beast flew backward, but Gu Mu was not feeling too good either. The Chaos Beast was far too strong. The rebound impact in the metal rod caused his internal organs to split open. Once again, he himself flew backward as well. Still, he could not care less. He wiped the fresh blood from the corner of his mouth and flew into the Fire Lake. Jiang Yi was too weak. As long as Gu Mu could locate him, he was sure he would be able to kill him in a second.

Wuu-wuu!

The Chaos Beast jumped into the Fire Lake as well like a mad dog. At the same time, it spat out flames from its mouth, causing the molten lava from the Fire Lake to spurt outward. The terrifyingly high temperatures caused the pain in Gu Mu’s body to become excruciating as he sped toward the base of the Fire Lake.

Get lost—

He angrily waved his metal rod around and struck upwards. The Chaos Beast, however, remained unafraid. Its dancing sickle-like legs fought off the metal rod. As the two of them kept fighting, Gu Mu sank further into the lake while the Chaos Beast was pushed further up.
The man and beast kept fighting just like that. Both of them were in pain. Both were injured, but the fight was making each of their injuries worse. It was obvious that the Chaos Beast’s defensive powers were too strong. If this was allowed to carry on, Gu Mu would surely be the first to die.

Ah…

Gu Mu let out a pained cry. A few of his bones were broken in the battle this time. He knew that he would be stuck in the Fire Lake forever if he allowed this to carry on. However, what else could he do? He could only try his best!
His divine senses spread out in all directions as he kept searching for Jiang Yi. His soul spirit was very strong. He could search within a radius of thirty kilometers at a time. That was at least three times better than Luo Lu. However… even after looking around, he could not find any trace of Jiang Yi. He began to hesitate as his eyes glinted. Could Jiang Yi have been burnt to death by the molten lava? Or could he have been swallowed by Chaos Beasts?

No, he’s still alive!

He kept looking around, but he saw no Chaos Beasts. What’s more, there were no divine cores or interspatial ring to be seen. There were also no battle armors lying around. Jiang Yi had refined Luo Huan’s medial-grade divine artifact battle armor. Primitive-Grade Chaos Beasts would likely not be able to kill him in such a short time.
He kept charging toward the base of the lake while using his divine senses to search around. Soon, he began to find clues. At the base of the lake was a passageway. He guessed that it was left behind when the fire shot out from underground. At that moment, the passageway seemed to have been broken. He guessed that that was where Jiang Yi must have escaped from. Thus, he charged towards it.

Chase…

A ruthless look crossed Gu Mu’s face. Once again, he struck the Chaos Beast. His body was thrown into the passageway at the base of the lake almost instantly. This time, his injuries were much worse. In his heart, he felt like he could very possibly die in this lake.
He had no other choice. Jiang Yi must die!
