Chapter 72: Disappearing memory

The expression on Justin Finley’s face was very, very painful.
He held his head desperately, as if his head was about to burst.
"If you can't remember, don't think again." Matthew calmly comforted.
At the same time, he bent down, picked up all the gadgets Justin had fallen on the ground before, and then returned it to him.
"Thank you!" Justin's expression eased slightly, and he embraced them again.
Then, he said with a bit of frustration: "I went back to the Hufflepuff common room first. I am very sleepy and sleepy now..."
"Okay, goodbye!" Matthew waved his hands.
Looking at Justin Finley's back, Matthew fell into thought.
The reaction of this Hufflepuff boy is undoubtedly the performance of the "forgotten curse".
The effect of forgetting spell can make people lose certain specific memories.
Moreover, in him, it should belong to the kind of forgetting spell that is not very smart (or the wizard who uses this spell is of average level)... Something in his mind about the witch wearing a thick black scarf. Most of the impressions have been deleted; but there is still a little afterimage.
So when others mentioned that image in front of him, he would react strangely.
   Then here comes the question!
Why did the witch in the thick black scarf go to Justin Finley?
And the time she looked for Justin Finley should be after passing through the tunnel of the Honey Duke and throwing her away.
want to get some information about himself through him?
If this is the case, then there is no doubt that she has miscalculated...Matthew and Justin Finley did not officially know each other until today, and he knew very little about himself before then.
Still, my previous inference was completely wrong...The original purpose of the witch wearing a thick black scarf was not to find herself at all!
She just wanted to grab a little wizard at Hogwarts and get some information from her mouth.
The first target she found was herself, but she got rid of her through the tunnels of the Honey Duke... So she turned her target to Justin Finley, also in Hogsmeade.
Matthew's expression became a bit solemn.
If this is the case, then the real purpose of the witch wearing a thick black scarf is worth questioning!
And, most likely, it was related to the previous series of attacks at Hogwarts.
  ……
"What are you doing here?" A cold voice sounded from behind.
It's Agnes Lestrange. She holds a rear admiral hat in one hand and a bunch of shining balloons in the other... They all seem to be small gifts exploded from colorful firecrackers.
"Sorry, I'm thinking about something." Matthew calmed down and said softly.
"Go back to the common room together?" Lestrange offered to offer: "Or do you have other schedules now?"
"No." Matthew nodded: "Let's go back to the common room together."
The two of them walked to the depths of the basement, shoulder to shoulder with the strange Christmas present in their hands.
In this cold, damp and even gloomy corridor, apart from the sound of the two's footsteps, there was an awkward silence.
Matthew suddenly realized that he and Agnes Lestrange had met for almost four months, and there had been a lot of contact. Some time ago, he even played Gobish and Wizard chess together every day... But the words between each other There is very little communication on the Internet.
In other words, they rarely talk.
"The previous attack..." Miss Lestrange also realized that this atmosphere was a bit weird. When approaching the potions classroom, she took the initiative and said, "Do you think it's over?"
"Of course not." Matthew replied without thinking.
"So sure?" Lestrange gave him a strange look.
"It's just a reasonable guess." Matthew also realized that he had made some mistakes, and quickly explained.
"Then you are so sure?" Lestrange snorted coldly, "It's as if you know what the inside story is!"
Matthew did not answer, and there was an awkward silence between the two.
The potions classroom went a few steps deeper, and an abandoned bathroom appeared on the front.
Matthew turned his head and looked at it carefully. On the number plate in front of the bathroom, the huge word "fault" was written.
"This is the girls bathroom!" Lestrange reminded.
"Of course I know, just take a look." Matthew said flatly: "This shouldn't violate school rules."
"In this bathroom, people have died!" Lestrange's voice suddenly became a little low:
"Almost fifty years ago, a girl from Ravenclaw ~EbookFREE.me~ died bizarrely in it... The then principal Armando Dupete closed this bathroom, and then it was abandoned. It became like this."
   Of course Matthew knows this.
He also knew that the girl who died was called Myrtle; after she died, she became a ghost called "Crying Myrtle"; and the murderer who killed her was the basilisk released from the secret room by Tom Riddle !
and many more……
   Matthew stopped suddenly.
"What's wrong with you?" Lestrange gave him a puzzled look.
"Nothing." Matthew spread his hands and continued to walk towards the Slytherin common room.
  ……
A few minutes later, they stood in front of the giant snake statue in Shimen.
   "Victory comes first!"
Matthew gave the password for these two weeks, and Shimen was opened.
Agnes Lestrange walked towards her bedroom without looking back.
But Matthew stopped because he saw a ghost on the corner of the common room.
Matthew quickly walked over and asked respectfully: "Lord Sir?"
Barrow the blood raised his head and looked up and down Matthew: "What's the matter?"
"Is there a ghost called'Crying Myrtle' in Hogwarts Castle?" Matthew asked quickly.
"That's right," Barrow the blood man agreed.
"Have you seen her during this time?" Matthew continued to ask.
"Myrtle rarely leaves her territory." Barrow the blood man replied coldly: "Of course, since the beginning of this semester, I have not seen her once!"
   "Okay, thanks!" Matthew bowed politely.
Then, he also returned to his bedroom.
